Burn is unfathomably poor. No, sorry, what’s unfathomable is how we didn’t address it. Yet again Isak isolated, Bruno doing nothing, Tonali doing the work of two men and Longstaff looking limited. Murphy is like a kid who won a competition, Gordon has his moments but is so raw. Pope shaky, Botman, Schar and trippier keeping us in it.

Burn is just the absolute opposite of what you want in a modern LB. Murphy has been fine, as he has been ever since Howe came in to Newcastle, hes just a decent player and I see no reason to get rid.
I'd take a draw 100%. If we can get 6-9 points in our home matches (huge ask of course) then it's about trying to get a result or two away from home to progress. In terms of players we're the 4th best team in this group, we can wish and hope for more but realistically this is a good score-line so far.
What’s frightening is this has been the pattern in every single match. If we’re just relying on having better players, we’ll struggle because you can have “worse” in a plan and easily beat us. Look at Brighton. It’s alarming how EH seems to think if we do the exact same thing every week it’ll miraculously work. But not surprising - it’s exactly what he did at Bournemouth.

Yep, because the “tactic” was for burn to give it to willock. This is why EH masterstroke was make Tonali do Willocks role. So rather than work on a plan, it’s just “we play 433 like this” then just swapping players around. It’s ****ing weird.
