Not sure what the beef is with Leicester, but don't think it's fair to call them 'a nothing club'. They produced one of the biggest sporting miracles in modern history, winning a league title more recently than either of our clubs, then added a first ever FA Cup and Community Shield to their history in 2021 - which wasn't that long ago. They were also serious top-4 contenders for multiple years and had a couple of good European runs. Ok granted they've been overspending at a rate that wasn't sustainable, which eventually led to their relegation, but their contribution to football over the past decade was phenomenal.
The beef, if it exists, was entirely of their own making. It dates back to the fairytale season they won the league when we were, for much of the season, the only team who could realistically catch them. Despite the fact that we hadn't won the league in over half a century and that they'd cheated FFP to get back to the PL, we were cast as the 'Big Money Club Who Always Win Things' pantomime villain threatening to piss on their Disneyland Parade, and the beef started there, entirely in the imaginations of Leicester and the media. This board was a campsite for Fosse and Friends for a while after, to the extent that I kept checking the map to make sure Haringey hadn't been moved to Nuneaton.
And the fact the commentator somehow thought Perisic was Skipp... twice. The latter didn't even get on the pitch . Side note though, Perisic has been excellent in his cameos this season, much like the player we all knew he was.
That's not even the half of it, I posted my prediction on Spurf's thread for the NLD with Perisic as our scorer just a few hours prior to the injury news.
I came on here for the 1st time in a while expecting to see a new found happiness and this is the 1st post I saw.
