I think it is absurd and contrary to forum rules for one poster to message that others should effective put Os on ignore. I think that is unnecessary and disgraceful. People can make their own minds up, and was surprised at Vin for seeming to do so. Seems he has taken it too personally. Not surprised it wasn’t monitored by the Mods, think it should be. This forum is for everyone to voice their opinion, not for others to seek everyone to ignore a poster. Shocking. If people don’t want to engage Os, then fair enough, but enough of the calling out on this - like Greg and Loading said above, nothing here is malicious, and whether you agree on this thread or not, Os has a great contribution to the forum on lots of threads here.
I do think Os needs to actually try to tackle some of the evidence put his way. He is like the guy who wafts a fart and walks slyly away while everyone else screams he who smelt it dealt it…
There is no hindsight from me. I was very vocal about it from day dot and got bucket loads of abuse for it
But I can say the exact same back? I gave fairly direct evidence that Biden was involved with Hunter in some dodgy deals and people wave it away and dismiss it because they don’t want to believe it. Hence why i said hope that the truth will come out through the inquiry. My views aren’t really that controversial- I just believe that nation state governments are mostly negative for humanity. Everything else I say is driven from that one belief.
As far as I’m aware, having an opinion that someone should be ignored isn’t actually against the rules. Os is entitled to post whatever he likes, and others are allowed to have whatever opinions they like about what he posts. Where the mods have to step in is if is someone is being bullied, and Os has shown often enough that he’s capable of answering criticism, As long as personal insults aren’t resorted to from anyone, robust debate is fine. Thanks once again for all your helpful suggestions Billy.
Well, that is a load of bollocks. And why try to be condensing in your last line, totally unnecessary, but not out of character. How can you not call out rounding people up to ‘ignore’ list another poster. This isnt Vin saying he want to ignore himself, he is actively calling other people to also do so. I suggest you read back what has been his angle on this, and I am hoping you have misunderstood. Yes, Os is more than capable to handling himself, but this is way over stepping the mark. I am frankly embarrassed for you if this is your attitude. I’d also imagine if this was on say a match thread and someone did this, you be right on it. I’ve said my piece, if this is your attitude then I disagree completely with it, but wont be saying no more on the matter.
But from my perspective you posted what you called evidence and this was directed rebutted by several people. You ignored all the rebuttals and said you had posted facts. But you need to engage to show your views are not just regurgitated from others.
What on earth is your problem Chilco? I have made, in my opinion, a valid point about Vin rounding on a forum poster. You seem to take issue with this. Sorry if it upsets your little boys club clique you have in here, If you have something to say, or have a wider issue with me, as is very, very likely the point, get off the fence and say it. Otherwise, quit the snide remarks
The only time you ever post on this thread is to point out how you think the mods have failed in some way. If there was any evidence that this was happening, other people would also be pointing it out. To my knowledge, no one has.
It really isnt the only time I post on this thread. As well you know. Like that is so far from the truth. What a strange thing to accuse someone of. So, just because no one else has mentioned it, then it is ok. Gotcha Think it is best if I don’t continue to reply to your posts.
For ****s sake! it's not just WHU (AKA TPU at the TPS) that was publicly funded the abominable Johnson's partygate defence was to. ****ing mugged again. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-66852723.amp
You were wrong then and are now. Any number of covid inquiries around the world show the benefits of vaccines vastly outweigh the risks in any age group and the way covid was managed elsewhere, Asia in particular, was ignored as shown by the inept response of the UK government. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-66223172.amp " Lessons from Asia? Other countries managed more effectively to suppress the initial wave of Covid than the UK, reducing the number of deaths and - in some cases - avoiding strict lockdowns."
For obvious reasons, this thread creates the fiercest arguments of any we have on our board. It can get very frustrating when people seemingly ignore clear evidence, written in black and white, which contradicts their opinions. What I'd like to ask, is if we can please refrain from encouraging posters to ignore/put on ignore other posters. Regardless of intention, I think it creates unnecessary friction and we are all grown ups here. We can all make our own minds up. Thank you.
Just to say that on reflection, I agree with Tom completely on this. It could be seen as bullying and that’s obviously against forum rules. I’d like to publicly apologise to Billy for not seeing his point yesterday.
Freedom of speech does not equate to freedom to force others to listen to your speech, nor does it equate to freedom from consequences from use of such speech. If I judge someone's behaviour to be consistently trolling, I'm within my rights to put them on my ignore list.
So who’s switching their vote based on this 2035 eco push back? Quite concerned that enough of the population might be suckered in by this to make a difference, the Conservative media has certainly fallen in line. Looks like they are trying to create a new Brexit with this, a good chunk of what Sunak said yesterday was just made up, especially ‘meat tax’ and ‘seven bins’. I mean after everything that’s happened how can anyone be convinced that their personal finances are better off in Conservative hands? I suppose we will see.
