Can’t imagine why Duff dropped Cabango in favour of Pederson who looked average at best, Cabango - a scorer in each of the last 2 matches in Cardiff
If they’re not listening to him it’s because he has nothing useful to say. It seems the players have no faith in the manager.
I feel like on paper we've got a decent squad and probably more strength in depth than last season although losing Piroe is clearly a big hit. If one of Duff's aims is to cut out the kamikaze defending then he has succeeded but the result is hitting longer no-risk balls up the pitch and we end up losing possession straight away. Likewise the aim of playing 'on the front foot' seems to involve enforced forward passing into difficult areas and again we lose possession. The overall result seems to be a lack of fluidity, shape and nobody being comfortable with the style. We've gone from one extreme to the other. I'm watching what's going on at Southampton with great interest, not through any great sense of schadenfreude, but just to see whether RM can actually succeed in his 'project' at an allegedly bigger club. The wheels are starting to come off and reading the Southampton board, the fans are understandably not too happy and his team are also looking lost in a new system. Will RM and MD both be gone by the end of October? Results will decide I guess.
Well, the morning after feels no better. I honestly thought that both sides were poor in the first half, but Cardiff were decent second half and wanted it more than we did: when did that last happen? We were devoid of passion, shape and ideas. Cardiff won’t go down this season, we could unless Duff gets his arse in gear before the rot sets in
I said that during the game but even so, you'd think the players could show more passion for the fixture and the fans. It wasn't until the last ten minutes they tried. The starting line up was dubious anyway. If the players aren't listening to him then it's as Mono said, they have no respect for him and his methods. Without the players on board we're doomed. That's assuming even if they did "listen to him" that the play would be any better. I hate to say it but I was wrong to be optimistic (not the first time and not the last ). Everything seems flat and clueless. We should surely have seen something of an improvement by now. Not even a glimmer though. At this rate we seriously are relegation fodder. When the fan's hope goes then things get ugly.
Hello, is that Rightmove? It’s Big Sam here, I’m going to need something within 20 minutes of the Swansea.com Stadium …
As I said a bit harsh ! But there's a lot saying that and similar atm . The only thing that will change it is if he's given more time and gets at least a few consecutive wins pronto, then they will probably forgive and forget ?
He may well be on borrowed time already but there's no need to label him up as a 'Useless C**t', that's just plain offensive.
