We’ve gone through successive championship seasons with a GD of around 0 ever since we arrived from L1 - we’re used to it !!!! Like you say, there’s a long season ahead of us. Things will take a while to settle down and take shape. I admit I’m surprised at how badly Middlesbrough are doing though so far.
If we'd gone in h/t 1 up, which was fair, folk on here would be complaining our 2nd half performance was due to sitting on a lead. Did we get tired, they get better or their bench better than ours ? Probably a combination of all 3.
Or just approached the second half better than we did.. we abandoned our high press and looked more for the long ball, which was the wrong approach.. plus we pulled off Sykes and Wells to early imo..
Bristol City player ratings vs West Brom: Zak Vyner excels at the back in a game of two halves Bristol City were held to a goalless draw by West Brom as both sides will feel frustrated they weren't able to claim three points https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-player-ratings-westbrom-8757336
Kudos to you sparkey for the win yesterday. EH. We were our usual dismal best and don't look as if we could punch a hole through a wet paper bag and the promised better squad failed to book their ticket due to the cost of promises unkept.
1. We didn’t have a lead 2. I don’t like us sitting on a lead, unless it’s 10mins from the end So; Maybe Nige was happy with the draw..
Just seen the 'brilliant' Vyner tackle. Sorry Nige, have a word why/how he was turned and nearly gave a goal away.
If we were playing to instructed tactics then imo they were wrong.. unless Nige was happy with the draw..
That's a point of view I suppose, you could equally say how did Naismith let them through as well, but of course you don't. I also didn't see Naismith racing back to make amends, he just gave it up, Vyner really has become the new LJ for you hasn't he.....
Still a brilliant tackle, how many of Bents amazing saves were due to him not commanding his area, or even never coming for crosses.
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan impressed by Bristol City's 'clever' upgrade Carlos Corberan has revealed his admiration for Bristol City's recruitment and the work of Nigel Pearson https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/carlos-corberan-bristol-city-westbrom-8761926 Yet another Nige fan....
