Are we finally seeing the great collapse of the entire EU as predicted every week since 2016 or before? I’m excited.

No, we're seeing the end of the likes of Germany and The Netherlands funding the EU, due to them being in or on the brink of recession. And thus the burden for the expensive, non-profit making organisation will fall on the smaller states...because the service fees must come from somewhere

That seems fair. I guess had we stayed in our stagnant economy would have also seen us contributing less in return for the funding of our (and Northern Europe’s) most impoverished regions.

Ursula and her underlings have their pension pots at stake here, so give them a bit of slack, eh.

Just who do you think would be funding grants to the UK's most impoverished regions? Spain? Italy? The EU has no money, hence it is looking for inventive ways to wring more out of member states.

Well if we’re saying Germany and Netherlands’ stagnancy will see them pay less then presumably we would too given we’re a basket case and the economies in better health would contribute more. Doesn’t really matter now we can trust the Tories to do what’s best for our poor.

That’s not really answering the question.

The theory makes sense but like a lot of economic theory it doesn’t seem to be playing out in practice so maybe it’s just not a true theory.

Maybe the expertise in the EU was better than whichever random Tory minister is deciding these things this week. Maybe the intentions of the EU were/are better than those of our own government.

Well it’s not a theory is it. It was bizarre to pay money to a third party, just for it to be invested back into our own economic regions, while giving them a cut of the cash to do with what they will (pensions, expensive meals, top class hotels etc)
I agree that you can’t trust the Tories not to siphon off money to their rich friends, however it would be up to the British electorate to hopefully vote them out. Then we can decide if Labour are any fairer

Well so far we’ve one example of the theory being put into practice and it’s going horrendously badly.

I fear the Tories have ****ed it and will spend the next year ****ing it so hard it will need at least two terms to fix and knowing our electorate of dim old cucks they’ll only get one before the cycle goes on.

Harold Shipman probably didn’t kill every old woman he met either. Not sure that’s much of a defence.

Also really annoying you can’t just paste tweets easily now. Assume it’s to generate more hits.

Indeed…however it seems that the assertion that Brands behaviour on the comedy circuit, could in fact be absolute bollox……but if it makes the public feel happy to “burn the witch” then crack on

I think we just need to leave it to the police who have shown to be something akin to a chocolate fire guard or a Luigi De Canio defence when it comes to sexual assault to do their thing.
