I don't think he has the personality nor the talent to be a captain.

We need someone who will bollock his teammates when necessary.

Thin pickings but I'd go with Che. Looks like he can be a bit of a grump if pushed.

I’m not a football expert, but is it too much to ask experienced players and gifted young players from City academy to put some effort into the game and to be able to pass the ball to someone wearing the same shirt as you. This is the minimum expected from a Sunday league pub team. If they can’t do that then why are they on the pitch. I know playing for Southampton is the kiss of death for most players, but just look like you give a toss about the result. I don’t mean a shrug of the shoulders after every goal put passed you.

Not really the ideal run of fixtures to try and shore up the defence.

We haven’t got a defence to shore up. We have four players standing where defenders should stand.

I took my brother-in-aw with me on Friday. It was his first experience of Martin. When KWP-Charles-THB-Manning were warming up in a line in front of us, I did warn him that this would be the only time that evening that he'd be seeing them as a flat back four.

Really makes you wonder about their thought processes and decision making. Jones was a disaster, Selles was disaster and Martin is starting to look a bit suspect at best. Why invest all this money and mess it up. Swansea fans must be loving this.
It’s like a social experiment gone wrong

They’re desperate to find the next big talent in management. Jones, Selles, Martin.

They couldn’t possibly go for someone with a track record, they’re too cool for that.

Well it’s their money. We are just the fans. What do we matter?

I think there is some merit in this.....many of the players we've been saying "get rid of", "not fit to wear the shirt" etc appeared disinterested but maybe it was the structure of the coaching staff and especially the poor motivation of the manager all the time. Weird team selections and crazy tactics suggest to me that all is not well behind the scenes and some of the more talented/passionate players simply lost the will to play. Now they've been replaced in many cases by less talented players who don't appear to have appetite for the game either! Most look half-arsed, disinterested and unmotivated. Others look confused or scared to death. Sorry but weve got the wrong sort of manager for this situation, we don't want a nice guy we need a disciplined old-school man and yes, a couple of gorilla's in the team.

It's basically what I've been saying for years now. Ralph's last 18 months and everyone since. Just awful coaching and tactics that have completely undermined the squad. People always go on about the quality of the players but if you don't have a decent manager you're f*cked.

I have some relatives who have been season ticket holders for 60 years across the generations. Last Friday they left early for the first time, they go to away matches too. Probably we fans don't matter to some in the Club, they will if this trend continues. If this was the first season of the current form etc, patience might be in greater supply, but it isn't, hence the fast growing dissatisfied number of supporters?

The longer we are out of the PL it will matter. In the top flight the money is all in the tv deal so fans aren’t as important

I know KWP is a good player and highly rated but his performances in this system have been terrible. I have been genuinely disappointed with him so far.
He’s fully committed to getting forward but he doesn’t seem as committed to getting back into position when we lose the ball.
I don’t hold either of the CBs responsible for the poor defence on Friday because all too often they had to try and cover the space left by KWP, which then left gaps in the middle.
This is why I have said that this way of playing won’t work if you don’t have a defensive midfielder covering the CBs by filling the gap created by a CB moving wide, giving KWP the time to jog back and help out.
If anyone is wondering where KWP was for the third goal on Friday, he was standing by the touch line, 20 yards upfield from where he should have been.
Early days I know but it would be good if our defenders were at least playing in the same postcode.

I think we would take RM back considering what we have got at the moment <doh>
I thought you would have one or two 'hairy' moments in the early part of the season but wasn't expecting your last two results.
