Stroll is out as he's a bit sore! Too late for a reserve driver so down to 19 cars.

Seems like even though Max was the subject of 3 impeding incidents he was effectively cleared of all of them!!! Is that favouritism or did he genuinely not deserve any penalties (he did get a reprimand and red bull where fined $5000!)?

Ferrari remain the thickest team on the grid. Why didn’t they bring CLC in under the VSC. They’d have jumped Hamilton as Merc double stacked, split strategy to defend and he had mediums spare because he started on softs. I hate them, I really do.

You must be very new to the sport if you think Ferrari could make an inspired pit stop.

To be honest Big Ern, it is the first time in ages that Merc have made an inspired pit stop :)

Always rated Sainz, the only team-mate to match Max.

Got to agree, Sainz was absolutely clinical ant the end - brilliant use of Norris :)

He’s the Coulthard to Leclerc’s Hakkinen. Capable of beating him on occasion, prone to bouts of form, but ultimately not as quick.

dead boring race bar safety cars.

the second that merc pit stop was called I thought they threw 2nd away and so it proved.

merc were at Singapore not Austin or Brazil. you cannot pass on this track except with risk to your car or one spot.

Ferrari rightly boned le clerc there to get the win.

Saint was genius there. towing norris round was a real class move.

but seriously the rubbish coming out of croft was hilarious.

but I suppose he did call Russell "allowing" Hamilton past to have a go at norris for the final lap didn't he.

except hakkinen only rarely made massive errors.

le clerc has far far too many bad errors to his name.

He does, but it’s far fewer than people think. Sainz makes errors with that car too, but everyone focuses on Leclerc’s, because he’s been given that rep.

But yes, he does. He overdrives.

We'd probably have a different opinion of Mika's mistakes if Ferrari had a better second driver in 99.

Anyway full credit needs to go to Sainz, i thought his win last year was pretty lucky, but this one was a masterclass. Two races in a row as well where he's outclassed Leclerc, Carlos is in the form of his life.

Interesting race even if a bit dull at times. The finish was great and felt like watching an Indy race.

Well pleased to see Ferrari finally win again and happy that RBR won't get the clean sweep. Phew!

Pretty sure normal service will resume in Japan though.

Not sure liking that comment is the right sentiment, I agree with the possibility that he is though. Unfortunately it is Danny's own error(s) that have created the possibility. What will be will be. What we need is good, consistent drivers bringing the challenge.
