Manchester United: Jadon Sancho to train separately from first team - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66806576

So basically Sancho cba to make any effort to fight for a huge yawning gap on the right side now Antony is out of the picture.

    Utterly ridiculous.

Ah well, still plenty options. At least it's trimming the squad down.

Would like to see Pelistrie get a run of starts, he always looks good when he comes on and is very direct.

    Sky -
Erik ten Hag wants Jadon Sancho to apologise for his social media post claiming to have been "made a scapegoat for a long time" before the winger is allowed to return to first-team training

Absolutely ****ing right. From here on in kiddo, all you are doing is adding value to your transfer fee - good luck and **** off..

Plenty options really, especially if we go back to 4 2 3 1, which I think would suit us.

Casemiro and Amrabat are the new McFred.

    Then the three in from of them are;
Rashford on left, with Garnacho as his sub, or Martial.

Fernandes is at 10 (possibly Mount if he's ever injured, or Amad).

    Right side is Mount/Pellistri/Amad.

    Hojlund up front.

It's not like we're short, there is still McTominay himself as a midfield option in the McFred 2.

Defence is the worry, given the current injuries, but the 2 at the midfield base gives that cover.

If anything, getting rid of Sancho and not having Anyony available helps in all this.

    Absolutely mental situation imo

Ten Hag shouldn't have singled him out saying his training performances weren't up to scratch, that's not the sort of thing a coach should come out with in public. Conversely Sancho shouldn't have reacted with that social media comment

Like a couple of school girls having a playground spat in public.

What you have now is a £73m player out in the cold, which contrary to your claim, will drastically reduce his transfer fee if he's eventually sold

Ten Hag was asked at a pre match presser why Sancho wasn't in the squad.

    He answered the question.

No idea why Sancho should be protected from this?

Sancho is clearly a lazy prick and he can leave in January, we need to get rid.

Hopefully he can be arsed to close the door on the way out.

Evidently Sancho has been dogged by discipline problems from his time with City, in Germany and on England duty - sounds like another Pogba to me, a player who shows brief flashes of his undeniable talent, but can't be arsed to put in the required effort to maintain that standard week in, week out, ETH has done exactly the right thing, call him out and see if he gets a positive response, if so reintegrate him, if not, he has removed a toxic influence and can sell him in January.

    Poorly handled imo

The coach doesn’t need to explain why he leaves players out, that’s his prerogative. But by publicly criticising him, he’s created an unnecessary **** storm.

Which will likely end with you taking a serious hit on his value when he’s sold.

    All avoidable

It’s like a badly written soap opera! We shoot ourselves in the foot internally then any external influence. Surely, ETH would have been aware of Sancho’s affinities in the summer. Why not let him go then?

Not commented on Sancho so far but having read some comments I'm a little surprised ppl haven't picked up on the obvious.

Ten Hag dealt with Ronaldo perfectly. He never saw him as the future, never said anything and got him out the club.

With Sancho he wanted Sancho to succeed and gave him every opportunity. Obviously tried to get him to up his game in training, he gave him the time away last season to sort himself out. Clearly he's not improved. Ten Hag then threw down the gauntlet in the interview and the response from Sancho SHOULD have been to respond ON the pitch. That's what any manager would expect from a player who has anything about him. Instead Sancho decided to cry about it on social media.

Contrast that with Beckham. Had a boot kicked at him in the face by Fergie. Said fck all, came on as a sub against Real Madrid and absolutely bossed the rest of the game and almost got United to win a tie which was otherwise lost, showing the manager what he was worth.

That is all anyone needs to know about Sancho. He can fck off.

Being a teacher, would you publicly humiliate one of your pupils in order to try and get the best out of them ?

Oh and newsflash, teachers tell pupils to work harder all the time.

You should stick to what you know best, namely waxing your surfboard mate.

    Lol triggered

What I'm saying is that you would not single out one pupil and in front of the class tell them that they are useless.

Because you know that it doesn't bring out the best in that person. In fact it will likely just damage their confidence and make the situation worse.

Ten Hag should have just kept his business in the club, **** the media, he doesn't need to be moaning about his players in front of the TV cameras

As it is, all it's done is created a **** storm, when you've already got plenty of them going on.

We've has similar situations with players like Ozil, Sanchez, Nasri, Adebayor, even going back to Ashley Cole.

Players who weren't performing or who wanted out. The club dealt with it all internally and shut down questions from the media, simply concentrating on the players who were available for selection.

I see no value whatsoever airing your dirty laundry in public. It just creates an unnecessary and avoidable problem

Did he say Sancho was useless? He said he needs to work harder. Exactly what any teacher would say in front of the class or not.

It's then up to the student to respond by working harder, just like Sancho, as was my original point.

    Arteta on Aubameyang.

"To be successful you have to be passionate about something and you want to represent a club of this size with its history, that is the minimum standard you have to bring.

"I am not going to ask anybody to put the ball into the top corner every time they hit it, but I will ask them to do the right things every single day for this club. That is for sure."

    <laugh>

    Oh the humiliation.

Tbh I thought the analogy was stupid and clearly intended to get a rise out of you

Sancho is not a child and Ten Hag is not a teacher
One is a professional footballer who has already had issues and one is a professional coach. the pressures that come with those positions at one of the Worlds best clubs is something we cannot comprehend.

there are really only 4 options for a modern day coach
TH has tried one got nowhere so has tried another option and Sancho has spat his dummy
You better off without him imho
And ftr the Arteta quote is spot in too

Poor old Jaden, being picked on in public.

Should have just given him some lines.
