I was there and it was a yellow all day long . The ref was a mug and ruined what would have been a very good game. I thought the cheap Sunderland fans were unnecessarily rude to Gareth at the end given what he’s trying to do on limited resources left by his predecessors. I was impressed by the turnout of the Sunderland fans but due to their rudeness I hope they had a terrible journey back to their shïthole.
The Mackems I was talking to in the pub later on were bewilderingly hateful towards Ainsworth. Apparently they used to get beaten by Wycombe and didn't like it. Small minded ****ers, I thought.
Sunderland fan in peace. Red cards change games and today was no exception. Silly mistimed challenge from an ex player combined with ref that at times seemed out of his depth contributed to any of QPRs tactics to go out the window. I don't have an insight into what your teams form was like going into the game but I can say we pass teams to death, Jack Clarke is unplayable and 09 is a wind-up merchant. I keep seeing we're "Average" alot lately, last 4 games we've scored 10 and conceded 2. Its hard to say what would've been if the game was 11 v 11. As for Ainsworth, majority of fans have no issue with him. He has always spoken highly of us, even when we beat Wycombe in the play off final. I have no issues with QPR so good luck for the rest of the season. Today should've been more competitive. ps As for that video made by obsessed Mags. Photos of busses from the 80s and boarded up shops from the 90s isn't a reflection of Sunderland in 2023.
He’s a footballer. Not a ballerina pointing his toes! His foot wasn’t high but it was a tackle where if half the opposing team surround the ref (amazed some of them didn’t fall over around the ref) then there’s always a chance of a red. That’s what happened and a poor game and very weak ref (for us) ensued.
Not in the photo you’ve carefully chosen but, in reality, yes there was. Thought it but didn't have the courage of your convictions to actually say it ... ... the very definition of small minded Nodding and grinning to their faces then scurrying on here to act the big man.
We should use that photo together with a clip of the tackle to appeal and get that red rescinded, or reduced to a yellow, and Sunderland fined for allowing their players to surround and intimidate the Ref. As the EFL love us sooooo much maybe they'll cancel the result and give us the 3 points we had when Colback was sent off.
If you, and Oslo, so desperately want to convince yourself, that's your choice ... ... the videos, and some of your own posters, say differently. But, if it makes you feel better, crack on. There's absolutely no chance that red will be rescinded, QPR won't even appeal ... guaranteed. So that's your own club who disagrees with you as well.
I think you'll find that typical of football supporters at every ground every week ... ... perhaps not your own fans tbf, apart from singing along to Pigbag you could've been mistaken for a mural.
**** me, if that tackle was on us we would be screaming for a red. It was an unnecessary, stupid challenge that ended up costing us. The ref was out of his depth from then on but I can't argue with that decision.
After watching the video. I agree with you Bobmid. . It was a red card. The ref was poor, but he got that one right. If he had clearly made that decision on his own with out the help of the Sunderland players, I think we would all be much happier. The mob of Sunderland players that were ref- bothering at that time and in the previous 5 to 10 minutes was unacceptable....and that is what leaves a bad taste
Stay off the chemicals pal, their f*cking with ya mind, QPR bias from the ref my hairy arse, I’m sure the ref was also a Mackem
Yep. Reckless and a red all day long in today's game. Only saw brief highlights, but it sounds as though the ref was completely out of his depth and influenced by the clever Sunderland antics. Maybe we should try it?
Unlike you, no I was perfectly sober, maybe you should take off your red and white striped tinted glasses and accept the ref was so biased towards Sunderland, I’m surprised he didn’t wear a Sunderland kit to ref the game. The continual surrounding of the ref every time he blew the whistle, the lack of respect for the ref by your players was plain to see by all, just accept you got lucky with a dubious decision that changed the game .
If it was a dubious decision QPR should appeal it ... ... do you think they will? Stats from yesterday: Fouls Home12 Away3
Were you there? I wasn't nodding and grinning, I told them I found it odd that after we'd congratulated them on their win, they were banging on about our manager. Just wasn't called for. Now why don't you scurry back to your own board?
