The BBC take on the game:

"Norwich City continued their impressive start to the season with a deserved victory over Stoke in the Championship. Jack Stacey's first goal in three years gave the Canaries the lead just before the break as he slotted home from close range following slack defending. Norwich could have been further ahead at half-time but Stoke goalkeeper Mark Travers kept out efforts from Christian Fassnacht, Adam Idah and Jonathan Rowe.

The visitors grew into the game in the second half but rarely tested Norwich keeper Angus Gunn, while Stacey made a crucial block from Sead Haksabanovic's shot. Gunn was finally called into action in the 85th minute when he saved well from Wouter Burger - Stoke's only notable effort on target - and substitute Dwight Gayle missed from a few yards out with virtually the last kick."

Not exactly the ideal scenario for poor Hwang Ui Jo to make his debut. He must have been licking his lips in anticipation as he watched the first half from the bench.

We need to remember that this was Hwang's debut in the English leagues with only one day of training with the team so far. His strengths will be more in interplay with the other attacking players rather than the lone attacker up front in the 4-5-1 we finished the game with.

Idah knows he has competition now and he needs to start scoring rather than shooting straight at the keeper in the middle of the goal. Leicester will be a real test for the whole team and the strikers have to rise to the occasion.

Wagner picked out Fassnacht for praise and it was noticeable how often he got into dangerous positions in and around the box. Rowe has similar abilities as well, but both need the strikers to be occupying the opposition defence to be effective. It's early days and we're up to 4th place, so hopefully all of the players can push on from here.

It's also good to know that Sainz is nearly ready to return and Núñez should only be a few weeks and available after the next international break, according to Wagner.

    What makes our club different:

"Stacey's goal was his first since August 2020 and capped off a memorable day for his mother - who found herself sat alongside City's majority shareholders Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones as her son netted the winner.

"It's a very nice feeling. I wasn't aware of that stat - I'm going to have a few more now. I think beyond me and my mum, most people will forget this game," Stacey said. "My mum was actually set up next to Delia. When we had time off last week, Stuart Webber messaged me and said that Delia had two spare seats in the director's box - I rang my mum and she was delighted. She's had the best day of her life today. It sums up the type of club that Norwich is, not many clubs have owners who invite players' families to join them. It's a really nice touch."

As for the goal itself, Stacey credits hours of work put in with Narcis Pelach:

"I've always felt that I can get into the box a bit more and hopefully when you get in there, it's going to fall to you. I think it's the result of working with Chicho (Narcis Pelach) and analysing games to make sure I'm in the right position to get on the end of it. It is a little bit of the work we have been doing. Hopefully I can get plenty more."

It seems Pelach is having an effect on the players already. Highly rated and thought of coach.
