West Brom looking much better since making substitutions.. we are under a bit of pressure and need to hold the ball longer, bit rushed and making mistakes..
Sounds like we need to fresh things up a bit. This is the time when a stronger bench would make all the difference.
0-0 fair result imo.. very good first have for us, let down by our finishing.. 2nd half West Brom came alive and could have gone on to win it.. We did look much better and has to be seen as decent performance
Most of us would have been pleased with a point and a good performance before the game. Pick up 3 points against Plymouth and all will be good.
Saw most of the second half. Not a bad result I suppose but I think they would be happier with the point. Quite a few ‘long balls’ being launched by us IMHO. Lots of them finding a West Brom player.
A disappointing end for me as City did not, or could not, handle the changes made by WBA and in the second half we just fell back in our usual manner and in the end we were fortunate to get a point. Three massive last minute tackles from Zak (2) and Naismith actually saved our blushes and Cornick's admission did nothing to improve our lot and if you add in an obvious lack of bench strength there's the reason why we failed today to lift the home results gloom. What I saw in the first half did not carry into the second chapter and at the end we were really struggling to handle the opposition and I witnessed the Bristol City of seasons past. We are very weak in the penalty area and the lack of height and skills are blatantly evident at both ends and until we improve in those areas we will continue to spin our wheels and going nowhere. To be perfectly blunt I do not see the improvement promised by Nigel, and expected by the supporters, and today highlighted where our weaknesses lie and those are lack of height across the pitch with players being bullied off the ball by bigger opponents. There is no scoring punch anywhere to be seen and certainly nothing on the bench excites me to the point where I want to see them come into the match to make a difference. Beware Plymouth who will have a point to prove in the West Country rivalry and then the Foxes for good measure to dine on our deficiencies.
With teams being allowed 7 subs to chose from over the season having a weak bench is likely to cost us the chance of many points. Today was a perfect example, we bossed the first half, but struggled once subs were introduced as our bench was lacking players to make a difference, now imagine if we get a few more injuries.
