6M is a stupidly massive pricetag for someone who has not proven himself in the prem. Nicky Maynard, Matt Mills, Snodgrass all have stupid price tags.

We know Nigel will get us very good players at a reasonable price. All of Nigels signings was bargains and Steve Walsh will have a shortlist and he will have the money to go and get them players

they upped it to 4m when we rejected it then we rejected again and they went to 5m. We then said stop coming back with stupid offers, we'll listen once you get to 8m. And to be honest, i wouldnt sell him for 6m. It shows lack of ambition and we have no reason to want to sell him anyway.

Proud - can't agree, your comment is too general. You need to look at the individual, their age, ability and the gap you are looking to fill.

Walcott and Oxlaide-Chamberlain were both 'unproven in the premiership' buys - if Wenger wanted to sell Walcott now he would almost certainly double his money (i.e contrast with prices paid for Phil Jones, Jordan Henderson, Andy Carroll etc) and I expect the same will be the case in a few years time for Oxlaide-Chamberlain.

Is Snodgrass is three times less a player than Jordan Henderson? ... at £6 million I don't think that is an outrageous sum - I certainly felt Liverpool were not quite playing fairly when trying to poach Charlie Adams for a steal last season.

Very good point, Id say Snodgrass would be on Par with Henderson so hes worth 20 million ;)

I think Walcott is rubbish technically and everyone has their cocks so far up his arse its unbelievable! if he wasnt so quick he would be worth 3million max

You value Walcott at 26m? Wow, glad you're not head of recruitment at Leicester! He's not worth 10 in my eyes.

Fantastic! Now we have Hull fans letting us know which players arent good enough for us too! I tend to agree with that list as well - so this really is a case of two fans in agreement...doesnt happen very often.

No we shall be happy with Waggy...thanks for the concern though!

I dont rate henderson in the slightest, i think 20m is about 15m more than hes worth and i'd put snoddy on a par with him to be honest. If i wasn't a leeds fan i would probably rate snoddy at 5m but we arent selling so it gets upped to 8m. Bates was the one that said it and i agree with him

Didn't say I'd value him at that - but he is now a 'regular' England starter, which £35m Andy Carroll is not, so in these days of crazy transfer prices the market would suggest that £20m plus is not unrealstic ..

    And a super sub role?

BTW Fryatt scored again today...... 13 goals in less than a season isn't too bad.... if he gets another 2 or 3 by January then I think that's not a bad return for a full season.....

Good luck to him, he had few injuries when he came to us and finally got back on track in L1, he is now showing the potential it seems that led us to buy him in the first place?

Just watch out in a couple of years if we have gone up and you haven't, if he is still banging them in, Nige may be on the phone!

For me there is 2 things that stop Matty being a prem striker

He isnt fast enough and he is too much of a confidence player

Hands off our staff! (even if only in jest)

In Fryatt I see a smart player with good feet, I think people are right in saying he does miss a fair few chances but at least he is in the right place to have those chances.

I know he was a different class but Teddy Sherringham didn't have much pace did he? He was ok in the top division.
