As others have said, it isn’t the loss really. There’s no shame in losing to Leicester who are a very good side at this level. It’s the fact we played so badly and basically beat ourselves. Leicester won at a canter and found it so, so easy. We are getting all of the basics wrong and look clueless, naive & hopeless. There were promising signs in the first two games but I don’t see a single positive after last night. It was a complete shambles. Every time I think saints can’t get worse we sink to new levels.
Apart from trying to analyse what RM is attempting, that was our overriding statement last night after the game; lack of passion. There’s lack of passion, cohesion & partnerships throughout the side. It’s like a bunch of strangers who have no clue at what they’re meant to be doing. Ands that’s RMs.
KWP is now a shining example of what I've always been saying. We've got good players being badly coached. And it goes all the way back to final season-Ralph. I still see people complaining online that the squad isn't good enough ffs. Such a lazy complaint. Manning was the best player for Swansea. He's a liability for us. Bree was one of Luton's best players, he isn't getting a look in. That just shows our squad is far above average for the Champ.
RM needs to listen to some outside voices. All well and good bringing people you trust into your coaching staff, but his guys are either yes men or RM is deaf.
Yup. We're currently struggling with some of the basics of the game so adding layers of complexity isn't going to help. Some simplicity would help reset the team.
West Ham fans were gutted about losing Downes. But he's looked so average for us. Even a bit lost at times. Goes to show the difference between Prem coaching and Champ coaching.
What really annoys me is KWP should be tearing up the league as a RB. He is a PL quality RB. And Russell Martin is wasting his qualities through his arrogance. Let's hope he can see the error of his ways unlike his Welsh predecessor.
Playing like a bunch of strangers is an aspect of Saints that’s been going on for years. No manager in recent years has been able to build a group ethic. A team of talented individuals is not a team just because they are all wearing the same shirt.
As usual saints manage to be worse than even the most negative posters on here could predict. Even Lincoln & I didn’t predict we’d concede the most goals in the football league
Or even RH in his last year or so. I reckon two, maybe three more games like this and we'll know that the dressing room has gone AWOL and October 31st will be the day of the reckoning. I really hope not, but cannot believe how bad this set up and the poor level of commitment has become.
Don’t fear, Vin already has a ****ty response just waiting for the negativity - usually only for you and Lincoln, despite others saying similarity stuff. He wont let you down That said, I can’t complain about anyone being negative from last night. The only slight positive was Bazunu, and I wondered if that was cos the other 10 on the field were just so, so bad it made him look like prime Yasmin. I never want us to lose, but was feeling the same as Brenda I think it was - about losing by more. Had we done that, or we get dicked again the next game, and RM simply has to change or he will be changed. I don’t think the club will let this fester as long as they let Ralph stink the place out.
