Been pondering what Tony might do tomorrow. It could be a canny move to tweak the team, after that big result. I could see Burstow coming in, Dack dropping out and Jobe dropping out with Pritchard starting. Good idea to keep the young lads aware no guarantees in this team. 3 days a week so loads of chance to get the games in. Dack will know the score and Jobe seems a level headed lad.
As good as Ba was, I see Roberts coming straight back in as Mowbray purrs about him and I think he will put Burstow in for Jobe. Front 4 of Burstow, Roberts, Dack and Clarke imo. The rest behind them will pick themselves if fit. Jobe has played a lot of mins for a young lad and we have plenty of games coming up to use the squad.
Really is, like specially considering the profile of Moroccan players after the World Cup. He’s been there years as well and always been clearly a cut above ability wise.
Having asked for spares, earlier in the week, I now have a few too many ... ... usual routine if you need any.
All very strange that game. Southampton had 3/4 of the possession yet managed fewer on target attempts than QPR. Martin ripped into the team, post-match, which may not have gone down too well ... ... QPR seem to be a little overexcited about beating Boro imo, the home side should've won the game easily imo.
The morning of the match and I still don't know what Mowbray will do, keep the same team? Bring back Roberts? Introduce one of the new lads? Options options options, it's a wonderful headache to have. 0-3 to us, Clarke with a mazy dribble and a curling shot into the top corner after 16 minutes, Ballard with a bullet header from a corner after 35 minutes and Burstow in the 60th minute with a tap in after some sexy wing play from Roberts Haway me bonny lads
A long read but this is the QPR fans preview of todays game. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/60854/seeking-home-comfort-–-preview
Full of it liked this "Play as we have in the last four games again tomorrow and we’ll not only deserve a lot more, we’ll stand a really good chance of getting it too." Lets see
I have been on their board and they seem to be confident and can’t understand why we are. The general consensus is that after the Watford game the players told Ainsworth that they were not suited to playing his style of football and that the tactics had to change, so they have moved away from the Wycombe model and they are better for it. However it is still only one win in the last 17 home games and they have failed to score more than one goal in the vast majority of games. As we have scored in something like 30 out of our last 32 games, and that is without strikers, they will more than likely have to score two at least to beat us.
Another post from their board this time talking to two Sunderland fans. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...um-bursts-into-song-vs-southampton--interview
They sit deep, then hit the long ball and pile forward, I dont think they have the quality that we have, as long as we match their physicality we win this
Our table has been booked for 5 weeks. 12 until 2.15pm.. Changed Indians from 6pm until 8pm, hopefully to see Brentford beating the mags
I had exactly this on my mind too, Pritch to start as he does a lot of closing down and urging others on, 60 mins of Pritch would be ideal.to keep any complacency at bay , thoughts of a walk in the park in this league can be fatal' as Russel Martin. has just found out.
