Great match Philogene - what a player Connolly for such a clever goal, though missed a sitter. Christie made huge difference. Lokilo looked good when he came on Coyle did a sterling job swapping sides Seri was excellent again. Greaves and Jones both v good too and important save from Ingram. Twine flatters to deceive. One good corner and did better 2nd half but a lot of mediocre stuff from him.
More than 3 had excellent games. But I’d go for: Philogene Delap Jones I could understand a different 3 also. Thought we played good football for the most part.
Philogene - caused their defence problems all night. Connolly - looks like he needs 3 good chances to score 1 goal but he has a real strikers instinct. The sitter he missed wouldn't have even been a chance without his fantastic movement. Jones - steady at the back.
Philogene Seri Delap Honourable mentions to a few, incl Jones, Greaves, Coyle (limited but). Morton looks good.
Philogene Seri Coyle Good game, good away support, Delap and Twine can get better, great to see Morton but Seri and Slater should still start, felt like a big crowd when leaving, UTT.
Could be most for second/third Let's go with Seri and Connolly for the goal Not sure what was going on with Twines freekicks, hopefully just a bit of rust after the break
Connelly- always a nuisance and got the goal Delap - had to be strong as they targeted him , had some nice runs with ball . Jones- another solid display . Christie was very good when he came on . Felt for Twine as he tried hard and most didn't work out for him . Not the end of the world , bring on Leeds . Come on City
Philogene - always dangerous, what an acquisition !! Connolly - Great headed goal..Should have had two more Seri - Key man in mid-field
Philogene Jones Greaves Could be any of those 3 in any order to be honest. Only people who had a bad game were twine and Vinagre first half and Slater. Probably would have added Connolly to that if he hadn’t done that header as several good chances broke down at him.
1. Philogene....needs to work on his end product a tad..but impressive debut. 2. Slater..........powerhouse in 2nd half.. 3. Christie.......looked up for it...
Philogene some player Delap caused loads of problems and never stopped Jones solid as at the back Special mention to the ref for been really poor. Good turnout from the Coventry fans they are not a bad side think they will be top half again for sure
