Sweepstake on how long before he's banned from the pubs? I call three weeks.

  6. Ranger is a fantastic young player with a lot of potential. People just committed a knee jerk reaction to his miss against WHU and assumed he can't finish for crap.

Whenever he's come on for us he's had impact on the game. We couldn't have came back vs Arsenal in the 4-4 without Ranger, he changed the rhythm of the game and scared the **** out of Arsenal. Ranger causes havoc when he comes on as an impact player. After Obertan, he's the fastest player we have on the ground, and he's incredibly strong. Defenses just can't deal with him.

He annihilated the Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal defenses last season, but all because he missed a few chances, he's ****e. He's only started 1 game in the PL. Sub apperances are not a proper chance, he deserves a run of starts.

He's just got to sort his attitude out and get some confidence in front of goal. All he hasn't done is score, he's done everything else to prove that he can one day be a great player. He has the physical presence, the skill and the potential.

He's scored like 6 goals in 11 starts for the U19's for England.

IMO, he could be better than Carroll, on the ground at least. He's a great player potentially.

the lad may have potential, but his attitude is exactly what we have tried so hard to remove from the team

hopefully he'll impress on loan and someone will give us a couple mill for him <ok>

  8. He's still only 20. Carroll started to improve his attitude at that age. Remember he got into punch ups in bars, and he did what IMO is worse than anything Ranger has done, and smacked one of his own team mates.

He broke Saylors jaw, and almost broke his own hand.

We stuck behind Carroll, we should still keep faith in Ranger.

On the pitch he's fantastic, but you have to get him on the pitch first, something he doesn't seem interested in.

Tash, the lad is a ****ing bellend who doesn't deserve anymore chances.
Why should we keep a player who constantly takes the piss. Fair enough, he might have 'potential' but so have plenty
    of others at club.

  11. He's got a **** attitude, and that's why he's never anywhere near the first team. Pardew is being strict on him and saying he needs to grow up or he's not playing.

It's not his ability, It's his childish attitude. Whenever he comes on he tries his best, and causes havoc. The fact that he tries hard shows me that he wants to play, but he's doing himself no favours, I agree, by turning up late for training.

Hope a few months in the Championship will sort out his ego a bit. May also start scoring aswell.

yeh, we stuck behind carrol and ranger, and players like barton (an many others over the years). but look at the attitude the team has had since we got rid of the them.

  14. Carroll constantly ****ed up off the pitch, but we looked the other way when he started scoring regularly in the CC and in the PL.

We didn't know whether he'd be in jail for the next game or not. Remember when we shat ourselves when Carroll could have been banged up for the derby game last year? Remember when Carroll's enemies who he gained because of his ****ty antics off the field, got Nolan's house attacked and had Nolan's family ****ting themselves? There were kids in that house.

It wouldn't have happened if Carroll hadn't have been a **** off the pitch and had to live with Nolan.

Carroll was just as bad as Ranger off the pitch. Maybe not as frequent, but he still did a lot of **** things.

We stuck by Carroll. Carroll didn't score often for quite a while. It wasn't until half way through the season when he scored often.

Absolutely, and I'm with you in hoping he sorts himself out and applies himself properly. I think a lot of fans have had more than enough already though so the facepalm was a tad unnecessary.

I hope he hates his time there and learns that at Newcastle, he's at a terrific club that he should stop taking for granted, get his head straight and knuckle down.

If he can change his attitude and improve work ethic, he'll be a good player.

If he doesn't then he's of no use to Newcastle.

I'm not so sure the Carroll/Ranger comparison really works too well. Carroll scored goals, so we liked him. Ranger couldn't hit a cow's arse with 50 banjos all strapped together.

Hope a run of first team football will sort out his ****ty attitude and going to Barnsley may make him realise how lucky he is to be at Newcastle (not that there is anything wrong with Barnsley but we are a premiership club). His attitude probably wont change but lets hope it does as he has the potential to be a cracking player!
