So depressing. I actually feel so let down. Football is a stupid concept. You put your faith in strangers to lift your mood and entertain you. I had hardened up over the last miserable three years and just let myself soften enough that this ****ing hurts.
****ing disgrace at how easy it is to score against us. Martin needs to change it or he'll be gone by Christmas.
RM talks well and... not a lot else it seems. Embarrassing performance. His team, his coaches, his responsibility. We all so wanted him to succeed and there is enough fixtures for him to fix his problems, but the portents looking slightly worrying.
If he coaches a flat back four that line up is fine. But he coaches a flat back 2. Which is insane. I can’t explain how insane the tactics are. A flat back 2. With wingbacks. Who don’t even stay wide. And no true DM.
Wow. Wonder how Russ will deal with this. Ridiculous amount of goals to shift, and no apparent improvement. So want it to work for him, but this is early unwanted pressure for sure.
I like the bloke so he's so naive. He's similar to Nathan Jones in that he has a style and won't budge from it. And that didn't work out well for Jones.
I don’t think RM’s position is now tenable. I could have coached us better. I genuinely believe that. I think Lincoln could have given more inspiring team talks.
No it wasn’t, but I appreciate people call me negative at the start of the game etc but a midfield of Downes, Smallbone and Armstrong is screaming to be counter attacked. Especially with our full backs flying forward. It is just suicidal. We never should play with a flat back four as KWP and Manning are great attacking options, but you have to protect the middle of the park at the absolute least. Force them wide somehow to allow players to get back. We didn’t do that against Sunderland and we didn’t do that today, it’s really ****ing basic
This the second tim I've left before the end. At least this time I can switch off the stream and sleep before an early pick up to the airport. There will be sun.
I thought Sulemana was quick but I have just seen Ross Stewart fly back up the motorway at twice his speed.
Another careless mistake by Southampton opens the door and Leicester make them pay. Kamaldeen Sulemana gives the ball away on the edge of the visitors box. It's picked up by Stephy Mavididi who beats a Saints player and then dribbles the ball the entire length of the pitch and fires low past Gavin Bazunu. Well obviously we can blame Baz for that goal. Not! Leicester could have put their U18 team out tonight and got a result. Saints are not just pathetic but they are giving professional footballers a bad name. Imagine not being able to get into this abysmal set of losers.
I read somewhere that Jose Mourinho hates corners and believes statistically you are more likely to concede than score from them, so barely sends anyone up. I am beginning to see his point!
