I didn't mean "reality check" in a big headed way mate, just I've seen England in the same situation many times before, go on a good run, then come up against a team like.... well what Scotland came up against last night. Its how the will react after the game. I've never known an English team full of so much quality. I said yesterday that I wasn't bothered about the result until Mr White on talkSPORT yesterday morning, then I was. Scotland have came on leaps and bounds mate compared to even a few years ago.
Without a doubt mate. They have some very good players and the manager is a perfect fit, they also have some good young talents coming. They are a decent side now, as shown by their qualifying standing. Facts are though, not one of the players gets a game for England. Maybe Robertson but Robertson isn’t the players of 2 years ago. Their players work for them in the way they set up. Often the underdog and having to fight for results. You have to credit the progress and where they are, but we are on another planet to them.
From what I hear his family and Chris are happy and he is hoping to sign his first professional contract with Sunderland. I mentioned earlier that all the noise about Manure bidding and the arabs up the road were true but the biggest bid came in from Arsenal but that has not been reported anywhere so a lot of the reports which are meant to unsettle the lad have just been laughed off by the family and his agent. At the minute he is going nowhere but in football as we all know things can change very quickly.
Has Don Goodman mentioned how great this is for Southampton and how much Russel Martin has learnt from it yet?
Honestly these premier clubs have come down and think if they copy Burnley and try to place like Man City they’ll go straight back up and I think it’s really insulting. They’re going to get found out a lot.
