Neither side has any suspensions. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Soloman. Sheffield United: Foderingham; Ahmedhodzic, Robinson, Egan; Baldock, Hamer, Souza, Norwood, Larouci; Archer, McBurnie. Subs: Davies, Bogle, Trusty, Basham, Thomas, Slimane, Osula, Traore. Ref: Peter Bankes. VAR: Graham Scott. TV: Not televised in the UK. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
Same team as Burnley for me, albeit I do wonder if Ange will throw Johnson straight in like he done with van de Ven. If he is to start, then I’d say in place of Kulu but the Swede’s been growing game by game so would feel slightly harsh. Nice problem to have though.
If the boy is putting a shift in during training, then given home game+ opponent then I would not be surprised if the manager does so.
Aren’t there rumours regarding Son and Romero picking up knocks in the internationals? Might also need a rest if they had to travel to their respective countries (I don’t follow international football so I’m ignorant in such matters). Curious to see how Ange handles Richi given what has occurred during the internationals. I suspect there will be a small number of rotation for this match. Hope to see Johnson given a run.
Don’t forget we have Arsenal and Liverpool next. That might also influence Ange along with the recent internationals.
Another 3pm Saturday fixture ...what the **** is going on? Is it the fact that we have no European fixtures this year, not attracting Sky coverage or just a change in PL policy? (Makes note to set alarm call at 2.30pm...)
No need to change a winning side - Only change to the matchday squad would see Johnson replace Sanchez
I think that they're picking matches based on how ****ing dull we were last season. They've probably got figures showing neutrals switching off.
Ange has said Veliz is available from now. Look forward to hopefully seeing him at some point in the near future. I’m always intrigued to watch players I know next to nothing about prior to their arrival, adds to the charm and excitement. Edit: Ally Gold just provided an update too, sounds like whilst Veliz had been doing some training, he was actually nursing a minor injury and yesterday was his first full session with the team.
Good to see him being eased in. I imagine the minor injury and the fact that his season finished only a few days before we signed him probably led us to take our time phasing him into full training.
