Going to be some excellent debate about what our best team is.
Just highlights the ridiculous number of options we now have once these lads get up to speed.

That makes it sound like you're looking for a medieval suit of armour for a joust there, mate.

She was standing in the kitchen, preparing
our usual soft-boiled eggs and toast for
breakfast, wearing only the 'T'shirt that she
normally slept in. As I walked in, almost
awake, she turned to me and said softly,
"you've got to make love to me this very
    moment"
My eyes lit up as I thought, "I am either still
dreaming or this is going to be my lucky day"
Not wanting to lose the moment, I embraced
her and then gave it my all; right there on the
    kitchen table.
Afterwards she said, "Thanks," and returned
to the stove, her T-shirt still around her neck.
Happy, but a little puzzled, I asked, "what
    was that about" She explained,
    "The EGG TIMER'S broken"

Gelhardt was a canny lad but under no pressure and a decent club to drop back on ...

... Rusyn has left his homeland and risking his career on going to a place called Sunderland.

He'll have my support, every bit of it.

I agree, I watched a QPR supporters review of the game earlier, he thinks we may make top 10, I thought you may well be in for a shock :)

There are some good teams in the league. Some have good individuals some have good team mentality.
As a squad we have both of the above and on the face of it we look to have a good depth to our quality albeit some players will need time to adapt. The only team that really looks as good to me are Leicester but even then I am not convinced of their squad depth or there mentality as of yet. If they can do the hard yards and are willing to roll their sleeves up they will be hard to beat, but we seem to be a team who has a bit if fight in us and if we can string a few victories together and really get this club on a roll I belive we will take some slowing down.
All we need is confidence from the stands and that will transfer to the team, big songs, big noise, big atmosphere and we will get big wins its time for us fans to help raise it to the next level(I don't think that we don't but I do feel there is still a feeling of impending doom at times which is understandable) the confidence of the team comes from us, the confidence for us comes from the team, they are doing their best so should we.

Just said the same on another thread, the options we have in the final 3rd are mental for a championship team.

25/1 to win the league i'm all over that.

The balance in our squad now looks outstanding. There will be some very good players not on the bench some weekends. If we arent considered contenders by the bookmakers yet then it is because they dont know much about football. The way the team dismantled Southampton was unreal. Now we have some amazing talent to add to that side. I can see 2 or 3 formations easily from the squad, all of which would be playing to our strengths.

Some of the football we play, and the quality of the players, makes me rub my eyes clear sometimes. I can’t believe what I’m watching as some of the play is exceptional.

Put £20 on us at 8-1 for promotion after Southampton game. Meant to do it at 10s before (someone on here mentioned it) but forgot :emoticon-0143-smirk Think that's canny odds but either way we'll enjoy this season I think which is the main thing <bubbly>

I think we will go up this year. We've cover all over the park and good options. We only just fell short last season with majority of key players out.

Nice one, I'll get thinking what to spend my winnings on <laugh> Think we'll be in the mix and give most teams a game. There'll be some bizarrely poor results from us no doubt but most teams win and lose in this league, that's what makes it fun to watch. Loving it anyway promotion or no

We certainly do. I thought he must be about 28 by now. Seems ages ago when he left. Been in and around their first team squad last season I think. Scored against our u21s in the 5-5 the other weeks as well.
