It is ridiculous though, and it all stems from the arseholes that apparently ‘support’ Man U.

Bet she was the type of Mother that was down at Primary School twice weekly when Harry came home with grass-stains on his grey slacks...

HM shouldn’t be in the Squad as he can’t possibly be match fit. Southgate by picking him puts him the spotlight. The media go on about it far too much considering the amount of talent in the England Squad. It was pure manna from heaven to keep the story going when he put through his own net. For the love of whatever your god is Southgate please stop picking Maguire..

I personally think that would be the wrong way to go entirely.Maguire would then be inclined to think that Southgate had turned on him?

I'd let Southgate make his own decision on this and make a call on what he thinks the situation and Maguire require.

To clarify,I don't think Maguire was dire the other night though I did think he slowed the tempo down(and said it at the time).Own Goals happen all the time,in hindsight he wouldn't have stuck his boot out...No big deal,we won convincingly!

I really don’t want Southgate crowdpleasing in that way though.

A large proportion of football fans are really not bright, and have no idea about how managers build a team. I’d much rather Southgate stick to what he believes is right than bow to a baying group just because they’ve got too loud.

However, the Maguire situation has become so complicated that it’s difficult to imagine the noise passing over and that feels like it will now be detrimental to all concerned.

But then if you do this because of the noise about one player it will inevitably turn to another. I’m glad I’m not the one who has to work this through.

Most Rangers fans I know(Hardly any follow Scotland) and on general forums said England were superb, thoroughly deserved the win and strongly condemned the booing of our anthem(Ally McCoist is currently involved in a battle of words with the boo boys in the press up here).

The other lot who want to see the Union divided, attend Parkhead, follow Scotland and vote SNP(including the prick in charge of the said party) were erm...Silent:emoticon-0102-bigsm

All 6 in the Ric family(5 Scots) were over the moon:emoticon-0148-yes:

So, modest. Unless you are including yourself in the large proportion of not really bright football fans? What knowledge and of experience of building a football team at this level do you have that us less mortals don’t?

So the rangers fans as loyalist don’t follow Scotland but the Celtic fans who are predominantly of Irish descent follow Scotland. Bet you love the politics up there pal.

That's about the way it pans out.It all started probably about 10-15 years ago when the booing and a soaring rise in nationalism began in earnest...Fans standing beside each other at Scotland games were knocking lumps out of each other due to it.

A couple of lads I know from up here were in the away section the other night and England tops are worn at Ibrox on a regular basis...

The politics are a ****ing mess!!

Old Firm politics just seems really cringy from afar. And I tell you what, people talk about certain sports or certain demographics of sport being "forced down your throat"; well nothing beats the SPL for that. The headlines it commands on Sky in particular are ridiculous for what is really just a local league, of interest to basically nobody outside of Scotland.

There's nothing as 'cringy' from afar as you being a condescending little keyboard warrior..Prick!

Goodness me, I've no idea how I made such an enemy of you. Really weird the way you keep responding to my benign words with such vitriol. This time I've not even said a word to you.

    booing the anthem was brilliant
it's an utter **** anthem, it really really is
scotland anthem atleast has a bit of passion and soul around it

and the old firm is a cracking game everytime, they know it doesn't interest the wider world. hence why spl teams including the old firm get zero money compared to **** prem teams like bournemouth etc
but how you can watch an old firm game and not enjoy it is baffling
