I’ll have to keep an eye out for that. Wasn’t aware. Red button not as good coverage as the main event but still the whole game. Thanks mate
They won’t get anything, it’ll ne us claiming and between our multiple directors they likely forgot to pay the insurance
Players would have to cycle to work and live in 3 bed semi Ds due to 70% wage reductions. Wait a minute, that looks a decent idea now
Players contracts will make no referrence to the money received from Sky and will need to be paid in full no matter what. Now as most of our players are contracted on huge money until 2027, or in some cases 2028, then I'd say were Sky to cease to exist tomorrow we'd be severely foooked. The PL would still have the overseas income which is now greater than the domestic money and there'd be plenty of takers, whereas the EFL would be left in limbo as happened when On Digital collapsed and left clubs in the mire. PL clubs receive money from; Overseas rights Sky BT/TNT Amazon EFL Clubs; Sky only Only way clubs like ours can protect themselves from the demise of Sky is to be in the PL.
Our players might even do a runner and go elsewhere for bigger wages. Nah that’s only science fiction, could never happen. That bleed for the love of rhe badge
Mate when there's a Leeds United carcass to feast upon don't expect players or other clubs to be doing us any favours. You do remember what happened last time don't you as I seem to remember clubs taking our players but us still having to pay most of their wages.
Here would be novel Idea for once. Next time we’re relegated, players take their medicine and wage cuts and crack on with trying to get us promoted
Oh dear. Hate to imagine how you'd react to your children's report cards when they only get 99%. Project Keep Southgate went exactly as planned, & you've swallowed it.
Of course it's about him not coming back. Are you naiive enough to think he will? Bridges have been burned, & he will almost certainly not be coming back, & Boremouth will pick him up at a snip. How else would Boremouth get an insurance payment once they've bought him? Are you OK, Glory wannabe?
He signed a 5 year contract. 4 years left to run. If he was killed then it would be down to our insurance on him. And we'd lose money. If he does well at Bournemouth then he retains his value and maybe even exceeds what we paid and we can sell him. I don't expect him to come back here but we own him as a player for 4 more years unless we agree to sell him for an agreed price.
We are losing money every day he plays for Bournemouth. Money is owed on his transfer fee and nothing is coming back in. He will do exactly what he wants and refuse to come back.
I guess it all depends on whether Bournemouth get relegated or not cos he ain’t staying there if they do.
