Controversy in the Ustk v Dubious fight. Was it a low blow in the 5th? I'm not convinced: https://dubz.co/c/ac5831 Usyk was by far the better boxer overall, though Doubois didn't disgrace himself. Made a far better showing than he managed against Joe Joyce.
The punch landed on his waistband: First time Usyk has been floored. Dubois unlucky in that moment, but not overall.
Easy T20 win for England Brook showing his prodigious talent again with a cameo for 42* The bowling was excellent all round
Thrilling stuff Brook is such a clean striker of the ball. But not good enough for the ODI squad England have so many power hitters. And the bowlers were excellent too.
The rugger media are getting quite excited about George Ford staking his claim to be picked ahead of the other son of an ex- Wigan RL star (who happens to be captain).
Surprised that England won, being 14 vs 15 for so long. It seems that being a forward down is in the main far more tolerable than is the case for a back.
Not pushing on to 400 on a flat track in ideal conditions was very poor. Mattered not in terms of the result, but for a side that bats to 11, not a habit to get into.
Superhuman He’s England’s most valuable batter. For all the power so many others possess, nobody else can play an innings like him. When needed, he always delivers. Even if that means playing within himself to get in, see off bowlers, wait for conditions to change etc. He can be 20 off 40 balls, but has the ability to accelerate very quickly. He does it so many times in all formats; he does it when he knows he has to; he seems a better player when the team has its back against the wall.
