Good Morning. It's Tuesday 12th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Byram could be out for 12 weeks

Versatile Leeds defender Sam Byram could be out of action for 12 weeks, depending on the severity of his hamstring injury, according to a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Science.

The 29yo limped off during the first half of Leeds 4-3 victory at Portman Road last month, and has not been seen since. Byram's injury is not dissimilar to that of Tyler Adams, who is still has not kicked a ball since his grade three tear back in March. Hopefully Byram's injury is not as severe!

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has been speaking to Mot Leeds News regarding the defenders recovery time:-

“His rehab and return to games will follow the same principles as any other muscular rehab – build up the strength and mobility of the area while gradually introducing higher intensity training that eventually mimics on-pitch action. “The worst case scenario is a Grade 3 rupture which typically means 12+ weeks out.“

Wober keeping his options open about return

In a recent interview with Austrian news outlet Laola1, Max Wober has admitted that he is loving life in the Rhineland, and doesn't regret making the move to Bundesliga outfit Borussia Mönchengladbach, though he remains coy about what his future holds.

Wober was not expected to exit Elland Road this Summer, and was even awarded the Captains armband for Leeds first pre-season game against Manchester Utd in Oslo. His departure therefor will act as a double kick in the teeth for both club officials and fans.

Do you want to see Wober back in a Leeds shirt next season, or has he burnt his bridges. Are the players to blame? It was the club that gave them the get of of free jail card, why shouldn't they have used it?

According to Wober: “For me, it was a really great move. I’ve settled in really well, it’s a family club, a real traditional club with incredible fans,” "I’m in Gladbach for the year now, I’m fully focused on it and I’m going to throw everything into it. I don’t really want to think about what it will look like in the summer yet."

    Danish press rip into Kristensen

Leeds defender Rasmus Kristensen has been savagely torn apart by the Danish Press, following his recent performance against Finland.

He must be regretting his move to Serie A outfit Roma. Not only has he lost his place in Jose Mourinho's starting line up, but has been left out of their Europa League squad. Now, Jyllands-Posten, one of Denmark's leading newspapers have ripped into the 26yo, suggesting he should have stayed at home in Rome, and awarding him 0/10 for his performance.

"He should have stayed at home in Rome. Too volatile and even out of balance after an early yellow card.”

Elland must have shyt the bed this morning :emoticon-0148-yes:

Really not interested in any of the rats who walked away. I am going to do a Jammy today and just say I am exited about the squad and can’t wait to see Ayling sat on the bench as Gjed Spence takes his place and does some real damage down the right for us. Even thinking about Kamara now means we can rest Archie whenever and we have cover for Ampadu. The new midfielder Gueve could turn out to be the new Buendia and signing of the season.

    Morning all

Those going out on loan, I can’t see any of them returning as I don’t believe Farke will want the dressing room unrest. I’m also hoping as the season progresses, those currently with us continue to improve making them the far better option.

Byram has a sicknote history the length of a bog roll but he was cheap with no transfer fee. He is a waste of wages already and so the giant stand in shakleton is being lauded as most improved player already.
I still do not see we have improved our midfield. Time will tell of course but i think we will have to wait longer than the 10 game marker.

Seems as Byram's injury was to his groin (abductor strain) I'm not sure what the relevance of Tyler Adams's hamstring injury and the medical experts opinion who has no knowledge of Byram's situation actually is.

Probably just the usual bollocks that surrounds our club so some fans can bash Byram I'd say <whistle>

Looks like Rasmus Kristensen will be back, no one else seems to want him. Maybe we could loan him out to Fleetwood, and pay his wages. <doh>

I agree. I'm noticing that the clickbait mob have recently started featuring 'injury experts', who, like you say, haven't the foggiest what the specific injuries are. They read what we read from the club's pressers, & then the storytelling & clickbait headlines begin. It's all nonsense & should be ignored.

    So cynical WJ.

Why would these sites make up such stories, what do they gain by having thousands of people go to their site and read the stories surrounded by adverts galore ;)

Looks like Everton are being sold to yanks and will probably go unpunished by the FA/Prem for cheating

In March, the club posted financial losses for the fifth successive year, taking their cumulative losses over the past five years to more than £430m.

He won't put a run of games together. But if we can get 20 games out of him for the season.

Shackleton should start at LB. Doesn’t deserve to be dropped - plus he’ll want to put in a good performance after not impressing there on loan last season.
