The bit I highlighted, where you agreed with the meme in terms of the suggestion that civil servants block government action.
This is one person amongst a wider circle of friends that I've known for 50 years. It goes back to the point I made about some friends having opinions or attitudes that I find unacceptable. I prefer to call them out rather than ignore them (or leave the country).
Why would a skilled worker (or artisan) be an elitist Beth? Surely our world is made of skilled people who are able to make/create/assemble with their hands? Most would have done their 10,000 hours of learning, sometimes known as an apprentice, to achieve the abilities required to be an artisan. Many from working classes - which is hardly elitist. Just interested how you came to that judgement.
From the definition of the word elite from the dictionary... SWR " select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society" you said...Most would have done their 10,000 hours of learning, sometimes known as an apprentice, to achieve the abilities required to be an artisan. Many from working classes - They are definite an elite...and I celebrate their elitism...
As you know this thread isn't mediated, and I know you enjoy the banter. But please keep it civil.... there is a lot of name calling by a lot of people at the moment. Please take a chill pill
I’m usually quite open to a bit of name-calling but I’m taking a short break until someone posts a ridiculous Tory cuck opinion.
I can't see the point. It's just a bunch of multi-faith people. Am I missing something? Of course, if they're all lawyers charging £10k a time to make up lies to keep unentitled illegals in the country, then **** 'em. PS Before anyone accuses me, I never suggested Strolls should leave the country on a dinghy
They're Home Office civil servants, Goldie - or at least they're standing in front a Home Office sign which would suggest that they are.
