Good watch that. I think it'll be a similar game on Saturday, we have plenty on the break and their back line doesn't look comfortable being attacked at speed. Watford beat them when QPR had 29% possession, one shot on target but twice the fouls ... ... sounds just like that Wycombe team we used to have to play.
Yes, just spotted that. I didn't notice at the time but they left something on us just about every tackle, dirty bastards
I remember watching it on TV and the ref was a disgrace the number of times they got away with hacking our lads down and got away with it was shocking
I hope this link works..... A QPR fans write up of the 0 -3 game last season. It's long, but one of the best write-ups I've read....superbly funny. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...thing-about-a-massacre-on-february-14--report
Looking forward to this. Train from Hartlepool at 7.14, straight to the Sindercombe social. Nepalese restaurant booked for after the game and hopefully a few celebratory drinks before head back to the hotel.
Maybe too close to the ground. Booked it for 6pm but I don't think we'll get a drink straight after the game due to the pubs that close being home fans only.
Great stuff Bookings: Field 63 (foul), Lowe 71 (delaying the restart/time wasting at 1-0 down), Dozzell 72 (prat), Johansen 82 (attempted murder), Paal 90 (assault), Dunne 90+1 (argument)
Ba played on the wing in the 3-0 last season in a 4-4-2 with geldhart and Clarke up top drifting wide. Mowbray said the game plan was try and take their big immobile centre halves out of their comfort zone. I’m hoping to see Ba start again. Expect to see Roberts start midweek against Blackburn in a strong line up. dunno what we’ll do with Cirkin, Neil, Ekwah, and Ballard as x3 games in a week is tough. Expect to see some rotation where we can.
Also the 0-0 in the cup two years ago was a good game. Went toe to toe with a team in the division above us, and beat them on penalties. Think it’s the only time I’ve seen us win a penalty shoot out…
Really enjoyed that game ... ... excellent support and we played some good football. Their penalties were poor iirc although Burge did well.
Was in Canada for that game - cabin on the lake in a deserted part of Southern Ontario. Just enough WiFi to follow the game and the pens on Twatter.
Decent that I thought. It makes me more optimistic tbh, I don't think they're suited to playing at home.
Not many teams will be looking forward to playing Sunderland especially their defenders ... ... they know they'll be faced with attackers who are tough, quick and skilful. All five Saturday goals were different so we're hard to plan against. The first was a pass that was almost route one and the last pure skill and a cross into the box. And the subs bench will always give us the possibility of changing a game we're losing or struggling to win. QPR don't have too many options.
