About to grab some food before watching the next game. I've chosen an Argentinian Malbec for the occasion.
Ah, I see what you’re saying Remote..... you agree with GREAT GAME, but not the second bit about GEORGE FORD eh? The rest ok chum? Masky
Fair enough remote, takes a big man to apologise like that and drive a tractor, here’s hoping you don’t fall off your goat pal, and land on his horn.....sincerely! Masky
My friends in the Highlands now getting a bit twitchy as well as my rugby loving pals in Cardiff. In fact they're beginning to fijit. No, I'm not getting my coat, it's too hot.
I'm a bag if nerves after that final ten minutes. Thought we were a bit lucky but a win is a win I guess.
One knock on. Radradra will be having nightmares. Superb advert for the game. The neutrals will have enjoyed it.
Have to confess, I watched the Wales game and ended up thoroughly transfixed - what a roller-coaster of a match, both sides going at it hell for leather in fairly contrasting styles at times (at least to my non-egg trained brain and eyes). I'm sure normally on a rugby pitch there are generally one or two smaller or skinnier guys on a team... don't know if it was just my eyesight but each and every one of the Fijians looked like they'd been chiselled out of granite!! Absolute warriors of men and fair play to the way they try to play... pretty spectacular at times. Glad the game overall didn't end up as a peanut punting contest - nothing duller than that... I'd even go so far as to say I'd gladly watch BfB's paint dry than watch a game of who can punt highest/furthest back and forth for 80 minutes Am actually quite looking forward to Wales' next game now...
You're right about the Fijians being absolute warriors. They used to blow up with 20 mins to go but they go the full 80 now. They also didn't have a 9 or 10 to control the game and get them into positions to unleash their undoubted natural talent. They played the 15 man game like an extension of 7s. Simon Raiwalui, who played for Sale and Newport among others, has coached them to a whole new level with their game management. World Rugby needs to invest more in the Pacific Islands to continue their development.
Please excuse my ignorance on most matters egg (I don't eat them either) but are they mostly Kiwi cast offs like Samoa. I watched bits last night in between my exciting paint drying experiences. Just following the scores made it a game of interest. The guy who dropped the ball at the end either had no sleep or drank himself into a stupor and hoped it was just a bad dream. Must have been a rude awakening.
