Erling Haaland looks like he should be a Bond villain to me. If for some reason football doesn't work out for him, I hope he goes into the movies.
So, haven't seen any new news regarding German manager situation today, but I did read an article that made me chuckle yesterday. It was saying in order to tempt Klopp they were going to offer him the German manager position but tell him he could continue managing Liverpool too. Reminds me of when I used to play Football Manager (FM 2014 best version). I developed a trick. Become national manager. Give all the wonder kids of that nation their first cap so they love me. Then try to sign them for my club team, and because they already loved me for giving them their first cap it always made signing them easier. Obviously pure fantasy. Even if Klopp was offered dual role I doubt he would want to do both simultaneously, and I doubt Liverpool would let him anyway.
Don't think Klopp will have any interest in managing the German team at present. The job will be his at any point in the future.
You're right. I think that's why he has that standard for his players. If they want to leave, he wants them gone.
Linked to an earlier comment of yours, Hansi Flick is as James Bond a name as they come. Which made me wonder, could someone whose real name sounds like a Bond villain, actually be cast as Bond himself? Good career move for him.
klopp once he is done with us is highly highly likely to head for the beach.. internationals might suit as half way house but he wont take another club job after us.
Normally I would agree, and I don't think that Klopp would make the best national manager either, as he requires a lot of time with his players to get the roles and system across. However, this would be the chance to lead his country at a home Euros; that chance won't come round again and might make his decision more difficult.
Agreed. Klopp doesn't strike me as a manager that is happy to sit around watching football for months just for a handful of games with months inbetween. We've seen that he likes to be involved in the day to day with the way he's taken on more than we think he should with us. I'd say the same with Pep, its why he's never taken the Spain job. They like to shape teams rather than just stick aload of players together.
imo he would rather go party and spend his time with the missus etc with the odd TV gig. I do think that international football needs to return to the retirement home concept rather than the young never weres like Southgate. you really want someone who's experienced with a good cv that players will respect but then will also come together themselves as well. klopp and guardiola want to win things and get paid massively doing it. I'm sure guardiopa would be happy to do the Spain job someday, but not yet.
absolutely no ****ing idea. there seems to be just a couple groups with an extra team so have to have extra fixtures so we have room still for pointless stupid friendlies. Southgate should at minimum pick half a dozen new caps.
Whatever he was taking to fail the test I think it is safe to assume it was not performance enhancing!
