Is there any worse mag than this? They try so hard to be a Geordie it's embarrassing.

Like I've said before they think Geordies are all fighters and that automatically makes them one! Like the kid who pissed on the statue then begged for forgiveness. Can't remember if he was or not but I said bet he is a Durham mag who thinks no Mackems would dare confront a Geordie!

I’m from Peterlee, the same lads go home and away, week in, week out. For over 50 years.
All of those lads have red and white mates, the colour of a blokes stripes have no bearing on if he’s a decent bloke or not.
99% of us are exactly the same as 99% of you.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly lacking in common sense.

That TNT advert with that 'Aye, but its prunooonced NewcAAsle!'. If there is anything that sums up the rest of the countries view of the north east its that stereotypical piss take. And there will be many town supporters not realising that its slightly degrading.

This was certainly always the case once. But there is no doub that the the JohnHall, Geordie nation rabble rousing, created a wierd branch of entitled, almost all younger fans who bought into all that rubbish and behaved accordingly

I have certainly heard the ridiculous faux Tyneside accent being employed on many, many occasions since that time.

I have never heard, or heard of, anyone imitating a Wearside accent.

You probably all have a similar dialect, which doesn't change when you talk football, or go to the match.
But....and I would bet a penny go the pound, that a similar group of lads (not you's), aged in their 20's/30's, the newcastle fans among them would try to sound more "geordie" when they were with other mags.
    They just do.

Before I moved back up home I was flying up from Bristol, and one of the knackers was in full flow in the departure lounge, I doubt he could have been any louder, or put his accent on anymore if he tried

Most clubs have idiots mate although the pecentages change imo.

I've never heard of a Fulham fan wearing his shirt at a Chelsea match when they weren't playing ...

... we get Mags in shirts at our games regularly, home and away.
A minibus load went to Shrewsbury and had the nerve to complain to the police when they were attacked.

I've not heard of other clubs who think it's 'passionate' to smash up their own town centre.

And I've never seen other supporters calling every other player 'adopted Brummies or adopted Mancunians' ...

... loads of 'adopted Geordies' leave and are never seen again but they'll still get a pile of scarves and teddy bears at the famous gates <laugh>

100% mate. As I’ve said in here many times vast majority of my best pals are Mags, as is my dad.

Most are decent, actually even eased off the piss taking when we were in League One, good percentage also didn’t want the Saudis ideally but were in the ‘anyone but Ashley’ camp.

To be celebrating and wearing Saudi shirts etc waving Saudi flags is at best ignorant and at worst terrifying. Thankfully as you say it isn’t a majority, but nobody wants to video or quote the ‘normal’ fans.

As mentioned above, turning up in Toon shirts to Sunderland matches is pond life intellect.

If you are insinuating damage to his car, that makes you the worse person. Do it and I hope you get caught.

Radio talked about “grounds where the noise is greatest” and mentioned St James Park. When a Liverpool fan called and said “they were all over us, but when we started getting a grip mid second half the place went silent” and the talkshite presenters argued with him! It was like a morgue when Liverpool started exerting a little pressure! But apparently there were still “52000 screaming geordies”

Must have been screaming in their houses!

There's very few really noisy grounds these days and SJP isn't one of them.

Villa Park and Elland Road are better but rarely get a mention.

The media latch onto really daft things and repeat them, like famous number nine and cathedral on the hill without any logic ...

... SJP is rented from the 'council' and sits on a slight incline <laugh>

Always the easy option. Many people working in the media are so limited they are incapable of anything but reciting the latest clichés.
