There are areas where RL will never take off, Leicester being one of them.

Doubt it regarding the merger. Where would they play? A floating pontoon. Only one stadium holds enough to match or beat Leicester’s crowds. According to some such is the fanaticism some won’t cross the river to the other side. Or eat bacon.
Good to have a conversation who someone puts across their views well without insults and point scoring.

In the 1950s, 60s and 70s if a woman was staying at home they would not have had a car to ferry kids around anyway,
Young kids seem to have no trouble being out and about at all hours doing nothing in particular at all hours.

There is always a degree of folly in trying to compare the popularity of different sports when demographics are involved.

Nice degree of diversity in the Japan RU team (not counting gender of course)

Haven't Birmingham Council declared bankruptcy because they've got liabilities of £750 million+ from a legal case for underpaying female employees for several decades?

I'm not sure a £17 million taxi bill touches the sides. But the spending cut is pretty bad news for disabled kids who no longer have a ride to the other side of the city to spesialist schools.

Watching Japan v Chile. Surprised how many Japanese are there. And a fair few Chileans travelling over 7,000 miles. Massive amount of Argentinians have made the trip of nearly 7,000 miles as well.Surprising for such a football mad country.

Yes,they do have liabilities for an equal pay claim and of course that is the primary reason for them issuing a section 114..

I never mentioned depriving disabled kids anywhere in my post but I'd be interested in a link to show that as a matter of fact, all of that money went solely on moving disabled children around the City of Birmingham .You're probably fully aware that I was in no way suggesting that disabled kids should suffer due to Council incompetence.

Here's some other nonsensical figures that don't touch the sides either but gives you some sort of reasoning for my original offering.

£10 million on a 2.5 mile section of rarely used cycle lane.

£16 million on moving a National Express depot 300 metres.

    £50 million on Hydrogen Buses.

£184 million on the Commonwealth games.

    And

£100 million on a 'botched' IT system.

If you think the Council in Birmingham(or any other Council in the U.K) have or will in the future act responsibly with other peoples money then it's maybe time you moved back to Utopia and tried it for yourself.

I think we've had a miscommunication... I'm writing whilst watching rugby, so not so clear. I didn't intend to suggest you were supporting cutting of services.

I meant that as a result of the bankruptcy, there's an immediate cut to all non emergency spending. In this case the government should bail them out to maintain most services.

Sorry I should have specified I was talking about the pro and semi-pro game. Which for all the expansion, investment and hype has never taken off in the north.

Completely agree with regards to community rugby union, it’s probably only second to cricket as a community hub sport, far more important to communities across the country, especially rural and semi-rural than either football or rugby league.

That's not strictly true when you consider State Pensions and Benefits rose by inflation .

Just out of interest, how often are your bins collected these days, and does your local council still provide a 'weeding' service in your Streets? Do you have a problem with rodent infestation?

    Miscommunication?

Not on my part.I don't agree to any cutting of any services,I'm also vehemently opposed to people taking the piss and looking for bail-outs when they couldn't run a ****ing bath, never mind a budget.

I'm not quite sure what part of the planet zog you currently reside in,please tell me and I'll research how your Country treats Departmental incompetence and respond accordingly.

Bins are alternate weeks, black, blue. Street is well look after being part of the Old Town. Never had trouble with rats apart from the two I married and divorced (not bitter :emoticon-0145-shake)

Half time review of south Africa 6 Scotland 3. They have been going on about a clash of heads, the bloke is saying it should definitely have been a red card but I don't get for who. Just looked like 2 players banging heads, how is one so guilty that he should have got a red card.
