French bank tells clients to back Britain and shun eurozone There is an irony here. The modern day European Union began as the idea of Frenchman Jean Monnet to create a Europe of states that mirrored the values of France and would keep the dastardly Germans in check. Now the United States of France is fiscally almost dependent upon those dastardly Germans who became Europe’s industrial powerhouse having once been a basket case. Now the Germans lend Euros to their insolvent neighbours so that they can use them to buy German exports. Italy has been economically stagnant for years and France throws 57 per cent of GDP into a wasteful inefficient State model that defies reform by simple peasant protest. In a research note to clients, BNP Paribas, a huge French investment bank has advised “The outlook for UK equities is not bad at all. The FTSE is a value market. It has lots of energy and materials and a lot of banks. You can look at the oil price to see where energy is going.” Britain may face recession (and a disastrous Labour government) but recession is going to be worse in the Eurozone. They are right that the FTSE is undervalued but there are good equities to be had on the S&P 500 if one ignores the bloated handful of tech stocks that drive it.
The FTSE100 broke through 7000 in March2015. Today it's 7400 ish, just 6% up in over eight years. No surprise then that it's being tipped as undervalued. If Britain is to make money for investors then that has to be by the exploitation of low wage workers. Feel free to sow that wind...
