Looking at the fixtures for the next 10 games, we have a difficult period ahead. Some seem winable but our performance against lower clubs hasn't been good, and we haven't done well against Burnley in the last few years. We could struggle to get many points and could this reflect badly on Barmby even though Pearson may have also struggled. Then again, if he gets a lot of points then it will surely be a good sign?

i am very confident with the next run of fixtures. looking at them there is only really Coventry away that should be a classed as an easy game (well as easy games go that is). I am so excited about Southampton away. That should and could be a barn burner. 3 of the next 5 games are at home and i am expecting at least 10 points out of 15. Anymore and it will be very happy days. (derby(a) - burnley(h) - southampton(a) - lesta(h) - birmingham(h)....followed with that trip to coventry.

the year closes out with games against.....millwall(h) - midd'boro(a) - burnley(a) and the new year starts with derby(h). with a minimum of at least 6 points out of 12 very possible. imo.

much prefer to play the so called better teams. West Ham who everyone says are the best in the league were outplayed and got lucky on the day. That standard should be more than enough to beat most others. As Nicky has said """there is nothing much wrong at the club""". NB first job is to get the goals for going in. Sort that one out Nicky and you can light the cigar. UTT

Barmby will be given time, at first I thought it was a caretaker role but the vibes coming out the KC in the last couple of days seem to suggest Nick is now our permanent manager (if he feels up to it)

I think all Championship games are hard these days. Players and managers throughout this league will appreciate that every game has to be played like a cup final and there is no respite.
