Seems about time for this to go up? This Friday sees us welcome league favourites Leicester to St Marys for a match which some fans might consider an early 6 pointer. I wouldn't go that far myself but it's an important game and will be a good measurement of where both clubs are at at this early season stage. Like Saints, Leicester had a bad result last time out with a one nil defeat at home to Hull to end their perfect start. Albeit their defeat seemed a tad unlucky and "one of those days" compared to the utter trouncing we got up at Sunderland and Saints will surely need to defend far better to take any points here. I actually think that because of the above this might be a tight and dull match ending in a draw with both sides cancelling each other out. Both sides will be desperate not to lose as back to back defeats would risk derailing their good starts to the campaign. For Saints in particular I think being tighter defensively is a must as we currently have the worst defence in the league and that will have to improve should we want promotion. Score prediction: 1-1 9-0 mention by Sky prediction: 4:27 Leicester at home on a Friday night on Sky... What could possibly go wrong? Current weather forecast is for rain too UTFS
Baz KWP Bedders THB Manning Charles Downes Sulemana Alcaraz Adarma Adams Good options from the bench too. Going forward would like to see how Larios gets on to replace Manning-Niles. Also hope Charly can find his form of old. We have a very capable squad and that's where RM will earn his corn
Score prediction 3-2 Commentators both to be suffering from a Tourette’s-like affliction where every sentence is interrupted by a high-pitched “9-0!!!!” from the start of the match. The Sky News rolling banner will also feature at the bottom of our screens throughout the game, reminding us of the score from that other Friday evening against Leicester.
1-4 Think it will be similar to the Sunderland game and it’s too soon for Martin to have adapted his style.
Two positions we don’t currently have the quality of depth in. If Bedders is out, with Stephens already out presumably Holgate will have to play again, alongside THB making his debut. We need Charles in midfield. And if Che is out it’ll be Mara or AArma assuming Stewart isn’t ready yet. Both weaken us considerably.
Bednarek out?! So Holgate again and THB makes his debut. Sounds great. Is Che still out? Jesus it’s not looking good.
I'd go THB and Charles at CB. Holgate and Downes at DM. Charly in front with Adarma up front. Think we'll play well but lack creative spark. Really need Charly to find his old form.
If Charles plays CB then I cannot imagine we will drop Smallbone. I would rather we still didn’t play Holgate at all.
