Exactly, we scored masses in 2 games. 16 goals. In actuality we were lacking goals and the totals above show it. You are bang on, pens go to another player who is probably better at them and then as 5 to 10 to 3 of the forwards above.
We can replace Salah, and get someone new who will make Anfield Salahvate again... but I'd be surprised if we see anyone as good as Salah at his best for a long time. Salah was a true great of the game... And that's not to say we won't sign greats again, of course we will and some will play as a forward. It's also not me saying we shouldn't sell him in January if the price is right, two excellent players from the Salah money could be better than one aging formerly great but still pretty special winger. ... but Salah leaving will be the end of an era and it could be a long time before we have anyone that good again. We went about a decade after Owen where we didn't have a forward better than Cissé

I'll just be glad if we don't have to rely on a Cisse, or a Morientes, A Benteke, or a Balotelli. I think we've already got better options even if Salah leaves.
Think he’s a bit underused tbh. Think he’s more than adequate back up and I imagine will be starting left back for the Europa league games. If he does well will hopefully put some pressure on Robbo for the league games. Would be interesting to see him tried at RB in that inverted role as well. Opposite of what Cancelo did at city playing on the left and tucking in on his stronger foot.
Shouldn't be forgotten that Cisse scored one of our pens. in Istanbul,as did Smicer (as well as his goal) Cisse also scored the goal to get us back in the FA cup final a year later v WH
