Aye, I’ve already answered that when you posted it an hour ago and if you bothered your arse to watch the replay you’d see Maguire was at no fault whatsoever. If you’re willing to just go off a screenshot and make an assumption then I can’t help ya pal. And in regards to your other question, you asked me to highlight the last time he had a good game - I mentioned that he was the highest rated defender over 90 minutes in 7 out of 9 of our last tournament games, just choosing to ignore that?
It’s easy to manipulate something over a screenshot though mate. Just look at the goal tonight, people have it look like Maguire has just ran and decided to give Guehi a cuddle when the reality is that he’s following his man and guehi goes to chase the ball then stops dead and decides to backtrack a few steps into Maguire. There’s nowhere for him to go but if you didn’t watch it then you’d never know based on that photo. United had a better defence with him in the it than they are now that’s a fact based on league position and goals conceded. All defenders make mistakes - has Martinez not made mistakes? He was absolutely tore a new one by Liverpool when they lost 7-0, a game that Maguire didn’t play.
Tonight. Won absolutely everything in the air, can’t remember him being dribbled past, got on the end of 3-4 corners that nobody else could follow up on.
Saka, Kane, Bellingham all £100m+ players.. piss poor. Against Ukraine… You’ve asked me 5 times to give you an example of a good game he’s had and I’ve given you the examples numerous times but you’re choosing to ignore them because ya read a sportbible article off 3 years ago saying he’s crap so what would you like me to do pal? Put it this way - if he’s as bad as you’re making out based on his England performances then Stones, Walker, Shaw, Guehi, Chillwell etc are all considerably worse so we might aswell bin the lot.
Are you serious? Saka,Kane and Bellingham play week in week week out and show why they are elite footballers consistently.. When does Slab head do that??.. The fact youve mentioned Stones,Walker and Chillwell explains how much you actually know so this argument is pointless now. Aĺl 3 are World class and play regularly in theChampions league
You asked me when Maguire last had a good game so I said tonight and your response was “against Ukraine???” So you’re insinuating they’re ****e which is fine, I agree - but why haven’t our best players performed tonight? You’re pointing the finger at one of our best performers on the night because he’s an easy target instead of pointing the finger at the golden boys who were f**king ****e. You’re basing your argument on the fact Maguire doesn’t play regularly for United he’s ****e even though he consistently outperforms 3 “world class” players (none of whom are actually world class) for the national team? So what does he have to do to prove that he’s good enough if racking up better ratings than apparently world class players every game isn’t enough?
Ok so how can Colwill or any other CB get a chance despite playing for Brighton, Ac Milan etc to be able to build stats up for England when Lord Maguire is an ever present. Dunk is also twice the player he is, and guided Brighton to europe. Get out of your argumentative state and still trying to convince me Maguire is one of 2 best CBs in the country. Its embarrassing
Dunk guided Brighton to a 6th place finish, Maguire guided United to 2nd and 3rd.. Colwill will be England’s CB for years to come but at the minute he’s played for Brighton for one season and that’s it, there’s more chance of him playing over Guehi than Maguire. Strange nobody is mentioning the fact Guehi is playing and he starts for a mid table PL club. You’re trying to argue a case as if we have an abundance of world class CB’s when we have none. What’s the point in dropping someone who performs better than the rest of the defence just because his club manager doesn’t like him? It’s not like the Henderson situation where playing him upsets the whole balance of the team. Again though, I’ll continue to embarrass you with stats if you want to keep going and ranting about nout cos twitter told you he’s ****e
N. Ireland manager hopeful Ballard will play at Kazakhstan this afternoon, hope he's not risking him unnecessarily as they now can't qualify.
