Yeah ive seen how some of your fans have behaved towards the players in the past, certainly wouldn't make me want to play for you.
Maddison and Bellingham subbed. They were both poor today and looked like the recent hype over their good starts at their new clubs had gone to their head.
I honestly think a lot of your fans are more to blame for the clubs downfall than anything Kenwright, Moshiri, Usmanov or Rafa did. From the second it broke that Rafa was being approached some of your fans have looked for the second they could start too boo and jeer and not seen the bigger picture that people have had their hands tied.
Read the room, that’s all they needed to do. Rafa came in and was dreadful. Nearly as bad as Fat Sam.
mall clubs have that type of fan who believes they know better/vent frustration towards players who more than likely don’t care.
I think our problem started when we spent a couple of years in the Championship, and sadly the mentality that comes with it stays, when you are no longer there - to me it's a very tiny part of history, I've seen way more dross than I have anything good, but fans don't accept that these days.
Currently in Jock land and the sweaties aren’t taking our hammering of Argentina very well. They’re desperate to hammer us on Tuesday. There’s a game apparently, I had no idea. I reminded them that it’s only a big game for them. It’s no big deal for the English. Obsessed ****s.
Or maybe the England manager is just ****e? Could be that like. *didn't even know it was on. What I do know is Bellingham is ****ing brilliant and Maddison is v good, so definitely not hype.
Dunno, hadn't seen much of him. Certainly never claimed he was either great or ****e. Why is that relevant to what I said?
The "Amazing Harry Kane stats" thread seems to have dissapeared off the first page of the Spud board. Persona non grata now
It's relevant because you are blaming a manager for players deficiencies. A managers tactics can and do affect the team as a whole but are no excuse for a player being **** individually.
Bellingham, especially, and Maddison aren't 'deficient' though. They are top players. If you have a manager who stinks the place out and 'trusts' his old faves like Henderson, Maguire and Phillips, for example, and imparts his 'philosophy' on players, then they come down to his level. Unless the manager isn't relevant to how a team plays?
So a manager stops a player from taking others on, spotting/making a telling pass or trying to score? OK.
Southgate is clueless as ever…he needs out…wasting this squad keep Henderson on and take Bellingham off who can do everything Henderson can do plus a bit more and if anyone is getting a winner it’s the kid who’s scored in his last 5 games for his club
