I don't think Bruno needs to stay further forward, as he obviously has defensive qualities, I think he is like Joelinton but on the RCM, he moves up and down the pitch and can attack and defend. He played RCM in this first season and Shelvey played the deep role and he was awesome.
I don't like Bruno getting the ball deep from the centre backs, he dawdles and can get caught out, Tonali plays the quick pass which is better for that role.

He's the way out and succeeds most of the time... why isn't anyway making themselves available? If there's a pass there he'd make it.
If he'd passed backwards people would've sighed but he should have. He should have more on than a backwards pass or a flick over a midfielders head. Serious question which is a better player Bruno longstaff or Anderson ?
Bruno Yes Bruno isn't at his best. Yes, he and Tonali are still trying to work effectively together. But he won't work out a method of playing by not playing. He is still better than Longstaff and Anderson. As CC says we should support players not moan and groan (whilst at the match). Dropping Bruno won't IMO improve the team. Therefore, he stays in and EH and Bruno look to resolve the position and get the new system with Tonali working. If, after a reasonable, number of games (most definitely not 3 especially when against Man City, Liverpool and Brighton with two of those being away) it still isn't working , then we look to see the alternatives. Too many people wanting "instant" everything and not prepared to give anyone time. I include EH in that as well as Bruno. Give them time and you never know what might happen, we might even win something. Ask Alex Ferguson what being given time enabled.
If we are going to rotate for these two games i'd rather the slighly weaker team play Brentford at home than Milan away.
Not for me, what's the point in a season long slog to qualify for the CL if we don't see it as a priority, howay.
They're not good enough to win anything and in order to keep attracting better players they need to finish top 8 for a couple more years. Newcastle are not ready to be winning things. The champions league is merely advertising the club this year.
