Truly wierd. Can't say I've ever had any trouble getting the better of them in the past. And none at all now, as they just don't engage! It's as if they were embarrassed by the team playing for a a known psychopath. Well , I suppose you would be!
Well, Brighton won 3-1, and their ONE was a 'cosolation job'. Perhaps they will do better against The Might of Europe.?
Their next two games are at home to Brentford and away to Sheffield United, with Milan away sandwiched between them. Can you imagine what it'll be like if they fail to pick up a win out of either of those two games, especially if they have a pretty bad defeat against Milan? Might put a couple of quid on Beheadie getting the chop by the beginning of October!
Just had a thought, and it may have already been mentioned, but arent these Saudi clubs filling the pockets of various premier league clubs by buying players for way over the odds? Thus levelling the financial playing field and diluting Newcastles financial clout. Basically the Towns overlords helping their rivals out. If i was a Town fan id be a bit peeved and a bit concerned as to what their end game actually is here. Also I knew that about half a dozen of the Saudi clubs are owned by PIF, but didnt realise that the bids are being put in then its decided which team the player is gonna play for. Also, Jordan Henderson still being picked for England certainly raises a eyebrow.
The only football thing the Saudis are interested in is getting to host the World Cup, either in 2030, or 2034.
It just makes me wonder whether there are stipulations in these transactions and before we know it they will 'own' football. They are basically funding the top clubs now with these signings, then bish bash bosh they will be owning them. Its as if their purchase of Newcastle has legitimised them. They found a chink in the armor and now they are all over it. They basically own golf now
It's quite funny how the purchase of players works for the Saudi League. The gaffer of the league and somebody else (I forget exactly who it is) sit down and prep the bid for the player and then they decide which club he is going to go to. Its now to do with the actual club; it's a couple of people buying them and deciding where they go. It's all state owned so its a bit pointless but still a bit weird.
Thier Under 21 Side lost to Wrexham in The League Cup. No doubt the Wrexham Team played their collective socks off. The thing that the majority of N/C Fans seem to crave most, is Silverware. So that's one off their wish list. Only time will tell, but they have not made the best of starts for their tilt at The League and the Champions League draw has not been kind to them. Next up is, (I Think) Brentford. Perhaps N/C will have their 'Southampton Moment' against them?
Not sure if already posted on here....hope the link works. What a bunch of knackers, these are grown adults. Outside a restaurant called "Touch of Class" as well. https://fb.watch/mUcZr4DOjd/
Do they realise that if they do win the league they can now hardly deny it was all down to the money .
