Did our jobs early to avoid the heat of the day. Sat in front of the tack room watching the world go by. Nearly time to sit in an old pub with thick stone walls with a cool pint of local ale.
Well, somebody has to do it I guess. It's very public spirited of you to take on such a chore. Enjoy!
Mrs BfB had to go to the robbing sod masquerading as a dentist this morning. You would have to sit down if I told you what 3 fillings cost. Anyway as it was a beautiful morning I took her down to The Captain's Wife at Swanbridge where we enjoyed a coffee overlooking the very murky Bristol Channel - murky despite the clear blue sky. Some elderly ladies were enjoying a wild water swim no matter the terrible water colour. A house very close to the water has been totally upsized and renovated. Must be worth millions although it will be in trouble when the tsunami comes up the Channel. Then drove on to Penarth for a walk. It costs a bloody fortune to park anywhere in central Cardiff. Penarth at worst gives you 2 hours at no cost with many areas around the seafront free. At least one local council with some common sense. Many people at Penarth, walking, sitting in the sun or enjoying the restaurants, bars and coffee shops along the seafront. Some fishing along the pier. I'm not sure I would eat anything they caught in that water!!!
A pint of Old Dog from the Weetwood brewery which is about 10 miles away. A burger made with local beef as well.
I’m in Reading with my daughter doing some grandaddy day care. The whole town has a Division One feel about it
The Royals have fallen from grace. I remember when they were in the Premier League but they were called the biscuit men then!
Just printed off the schedule for THE World Cup. Only two more sleeps. Should be a belter to get things started. France v NZ on Friday night. I know you'll all be as keen as me to watch, so here's the schedule. 8 weeks of watching to be planned.
Oh dear! Right it’s almost time to leave Huntley and Palmers land. There’s too many hobnobs up here so I’m going to get my wagon wheels rolling. Bourbon any hold ups I hope to be back in time for rich tea. I know. Awful isn’t it? So what league teams will I pass on the M4? Swindon, Wurzels and their more illustrious neighbours and Newport.
