I'm really excited about the way our squad is being built. With the obvious proviso that I haven't seen any of our more recent additions yet, looking at the contractual position, there would only seem to be a couple of outstanding issues. If we can get Roberts signed into an extended deal and we can address the defensive midfield area in the next window, we look to be in a great place. I know KS has his critics on here, but there is no denying he,and the recruitment staff, are doing a great job.
As well as worrying about PL clubs coming in for our players, perhaps we should have a bit of concern they may come for our DoF and his staff!

I noticed this aswell, he's said nothing about us, for his chance in England etc, the blokes a sick note recently and as a fellow human, i hope he can sprt his injury out. If he puts anything out now about his time here is too late. I used to cringe when I'd hear people comparing him to Quinn at times, he couldn't carry Mr Quinns boot bag.

HIs whole demeanour over the last 12 months is of a person who didn't want to be at the club... Fair enough, he has gone, we move on. But, I will watch with interest if and when he gets on the field again we ever see the same Ross Stewart...just a hunch, but I don't think so.

people seem to forget lihadji going...the club have done an excellent job this window and managed to get a few quid in the bank ready to hit january nice and early.

TM is the manager nobody asks for but they all need, loves his football and loves his players, never one to big them up too much but full of credit for them and does his utmost to keep all the feet on the ground, from the stirrings of unrest from some fans on deadline day eve some 'journos' were always going to try and pounce on negativity (click bait)...not particularly fussed what the man does as he won me over on the 'revels press conference' and of course his work so far.

i hope dack keeps improving, not just because i feel he is a decent player but i think he was TM's 'choice' cos i am also old and believe experience is a bonus within the squad.

Good post mate. It could well be that TM is the best fit for these young players....a bit of down to earth common sense to keep them grounded, trying to get them focussed on the things that really matter on a football pitch. He seems to have an understanding of most of them and what they need to do to improve.....his comments about Ekwah were an example....and it looks as though these young players have respect for him and are willing to listen and respond to him. He's trying to give them the basics and the guidance, without stifling their youthful energy and creativity. The only real problem I think he has is the language difficulty.
Dack is his player, and, looking at Saturday, when he was,at times, directing and marshalling some of the others...you can see why.....it's a masterstroke!

Agree he could not put anything out before the game and the result meant he would have to wait a while before releasing anything. I harbour no ill will toward him but think the whole business between him and the club could have probably been handled a little better from both sides

I was really talking about his/his agents communication and the clubs communication with the fanbase. For about 18 months the rumours and conjecture have been circulating and I know the club do not like to discuss these things but sometimes the not knowing is worse than the actual bad news which is why i said could probably have been dealt with better by both sides

Just to acknowledge RS has now issued a statement - possibly later than some but at least he has now

I think he went for both. The pay rise and the probable instant return of Soton getting to the Premier League. It was the ideal move for him under his injury hit circumstances, I dont blame him. I dont blame us for snatching Sotons arm off as well. Hell of a risk for Soton, but they have the money to risk it.
If not for his injuries we probably would have lost him for peanuts in January or for nothing in June to a Premier League club.
