Good Morning. It's Monday 4th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

    Leeds frustrated in goalless draw

Sheffield Wednesday recorded their first point of the season at the weekend against a Leeds side who just couldn't find their rhythm. It was hoped that Leeds would build on their fine win against Ipswich the week before; especially against a side who have lost eight of their last nine matches and were sitting at the foot of the table, but football is never that straight forward.

The Whites dominated for most of the game, but had little to show for it. For all their probing and movement, the they couldn’t carve a way through, and when they did, Devis Vásquez (their man between the sticks) would come to the rescue. Every game this season (bar Ipswich) the opposition keepers have put in man of the match performances, making saves well above their pay grades, and last Saturday was no different.

As the clocked ticked down, Farke's men became more impatient, and gaps started to appear. Leeds were continually caught out on the counter attack in the last half hour. Miraculously, the visitors ended up having more shots on target than Leeds.

The writing was on the wall when Leeds had a stone-wall penalty shout turned down, after Dominic Iorfa shoved Wilfred Gnonto to the ground. The decision confused the 36,484 in attendance, but as we know, decisions rarely go our way. Leeds now have (almost) a two week break before travelling to Bermondsey, during which time the new signings can get acclimatised to the Elland Road surroundings.

    What an upgrade

During his brief cameo role, Djed Spence gave the Elland Road faithful a glimpse of what he has in store for us this season.

No sooner was he on the pitch, than he was called into action. Bannan's through ball sliced the Leeds defence in half, setting Josh Windass on his way. Spence made up the ten yard advantage the Wendies forward had, and with help from Struijk thwarted his goalward effort.

He looked dangerous going forward too, completing 21 touches, 9 successful passes (100%), 4 ball recoveries, 2 out of 3 successful take-ons and won two free kicks. As far as upgrades are concerned, the differential between himself and Ayling is massive. Surely, he must start against Millwall?

Will Sinisterra exit cost Leeds promotion

Luis Sinisterra's last gasp loan move to Bournemouth was absolutely sickening. He was the one player Daniel Farke really didn't want to lose, and for it to happen so late in the transfer window, meant it was virtually impossible to bring in a suitable replacement, not that I'm rubbishing Jaidon Anthony!

The Colombian's creativity, and ability to strike from anywhere in the final third would have made him a deadly threat in the Championship, but it wasn't to be.

The 49ers have been part of the Elland Road set up since 2018. They have to take their fair share of responsibility for the relegation clauses that have seen the squad decimated by departures. Why haven't they said anything? Don't they owe us an apology?

Few could complain about the signings they have made this Summer, but their lack of common sense have made them a laughing stock during this transfer window.

Morning all. Genuinely no idea yet what 49ers are made of as Ive no idea what if anything current team is capable of but at least we appear to have a decent squad on paper. Some have said better than last season but you'd hope so

That performance on Saturday won't be enough to make the playoffs.

Thought we were ****e. There's no creativity. We were lucky to keep a clean sheet.

    Morning all,

I think this international break has come at exactly the right time for Farke.

A big chance to get players back to fitness and to work with what he has now he knows exactly what the squad is.

I expect to see better performances come Millwall.

It took Farke 6 months to get Norwich playing how he wanted. He has a largely new team to gel together.

Just as I haven't been prepared to 'dance on the tables' and get 'unbelievable hard' about him because of a few press conferences and signings people have raved over but we've barely seen yet to make judgement on... I also won't be calling for his head because of a slow start.

Let him get on with his job and see how we're paying in a a couple of months.

    Morning all

Laughing stock of the transfer window, I bet there are more than a few very jealous of the talent we kept and brought in.

This is the first Monday the squad has been settled and sorted since relegation, team spirit building time and taking on board how Farke expects everyone to play.

One defeat in four when we’ve been most vulnerable, international break, time for the walking wounded to get fit and new signings to find their feet, it’s onwards and up from here on in

I'm gonna ask you guys a non Leeds radiated question now because this is one of the few anonymous places I go and where no one else involved will see my thoughts.

So back in February a boys weekend trip to krakow was planned for October by my best friend and myself. Also going were his cousin and another mate.

Dates and flights were agreed. I booked my flights shortly after.

This has come up in conversation occasionally since, mostly about seeing if we can get others to come with and what we might do while out there. Also about his cousin organising accommodation.

So roll forward to yesterday. Say with my best mate and we are discussing the rest of the year. I mention the krakow trip.

"Oh, are you coming on that?' was the reply.

Apparently my place on this trip had been forgotten and the trip was now him, his cousin and three other lads.

He laughed and said well that's good because they were looking for a sixth anyway to slash the cost.

He then added me to the WhatsApp group they all had where they have planned out the entire trip without my input so now the things I was looking forward are not on the agenda.

Am I right to feel aggrieved to have been forgotten?

What does the fact that they were looking for another and never asked me mean?

Sorry to put this on here but interested in neutral opinions.

I'd say you are totally right to feel aggrieved but.... if he is your best mate think of it as a blip and put it behind you - life is too short. I caught up with the guy who was supposed to be my best man but let me down 2 years ago because his son had died. We realised we had lost 18 years of friendship over a blip :emoticon-0148-yes:

Blokes in general can be both useless and forgetful about this sort of thing and terrible at keeping in touch... but this guy is your best mate? Personally, I'd have it out with him and without a better explanation than 'i forgot and then didn't think to ask you', I'd find a new best mate.

I’d have felt hurt and aggrieved too mate. If you bottle it up and go, you’ll be seen as the miserable sod who they wished wasn’t there.

The slash the cost comment wouldn’t have bothered me, at the same time I wouldn’t go on a trip that was going to evolve around nothing I’d enjoy

I’d discuss it one on one with the “best mate”, it could be a genuine misunderstanding. If he is a best mate he’d understand.

Agree that lot's of friendships are lost out of stubbornness... that's why they need to talk. If this guy is a real best mate he'll be gutted his 'forgetfulness' has upset Hemase and they can kiss and make up. If they don't speak, Hemase goes on the trip feeling the unwanted party... or cancels in a sulk.

Take him out for a beer Hemase, just the two of you, talk it through and hopefully put it behind you.

Have a one to one and out what happened. My best mate is utterly useless about remembering stuff and I always have to chivvy him about doing stuff and getting definite answers out of him.

As someone who's never fallen out with anyone over anything let me be clear about what I'd personally do.

Firstly I wouldn't go on the trip...lose the cost of the flight and think of how much money you've actually saved by not going. Don't feel bitter about this and just forget you ever intended to go on the trip in the first place.

Tell the lads you can't be arsed, you're skint or whatever and it is what it is and genuinely be happy about it.

Crack on as before and never mention it again.

Or you could go on the trip as now planned and don't ever mention how you were slighted by not being included in the initial whatsapp group.

These are the only 2 options...discussing with best mate is a bad idea unless you're both female.

Hope that helps you decide what's best for you.

I'm sorry, but the relegation clauses have cost the club millions, and may well cost us promotion, and the 49ers were a part of it. It's completely unacceptable!

The relegation clauses have probably cost us automatic promotion imo. How many other teams have you heard about that have been bullied and pushed around like the likes of Bournemouth and Everton. Its an embarrassment.

Firstly your mate sounds like a dickhead.

You've bought the flights so I'd go. Enjoy yourself. If you wanna **** em off and do what you want to do while you're over there then do it.

Yeah I would be pissed off if somebody did this **** to me.

Thank you all for your thoughts on my situation, they are most appreciated.

On one hand I do not want to fall out with this friend because we really are closer than brothers.... normally.

At the minute I do not want go on this trip, despite looking forward to it since February, especially with what has happened this morning since I first posted.

So an itinerary has been into the group chat. Times to leave for the airport and flight times etc.

In February I was sent a screenshot of the flight we were all booking. This is what I booked.

Turns out everyone else has booked a different flight and I fly out 4 hours later than everyone else.

    On to football...

Saturday was disappointing to say the least but let's face it they parked a fleet of buses in their box. Granted you could say that we've our supposed 'Premier League quality' front 4 we should have broken it down.

Spence is going to be brilliant. You don't get picked up by Conte is your **** Shame the poor lad has been stuck with the serial losers that is Spurs.

Before we judge the detrimental effects of Sini going to Bournemouth I want to see how well Anthony goes whilst he's on loan with us.
