How tall is Casedei? ... watched the extended highlights of last night's game ... he is massive ... about the same height as Vestergaard... wonderful technique (and vision) for such a big lad ...
Disappointing loss yesterday. According to the stats we had 21 shots but only 1 on target. Should we have won? Did we carve out many (any?) clear cut chances? Did we move the ball forwards whenever possible or just play 'patient' possession?
Hull manager, Liam Rosenior, was full of praise for us and commented that he was immensely proud of his team who were 'throwing their bodies on the line' by the end ... sounds like we totally dominated the play for the major part but just had a bad day at the office in front of goal ... their goal took a deflection too... oh well, **** happens...
It is a long season and we will lose more matches that we think we should win. Still early days for a new managers philosophy. Lots of new players learning a new system and how each other plays. Be interesting to see where we are at Christmas. For those who are interested - I am now into my 36th month after a prognosis of 12-24 months and determined to reach my 70th birthday in 25 days time.
Barwell, I was unaware of your prognosis and delighted you've deified it. Glad to still have you with us and certainly puts real perspective any disappointment from yesterday. Dearly wishing you are celebrating your birthday in 25 days
A mixture of that. Although only 1 shot on target some good chances we should've put away. Hitting the post or just wide types. A draw would've probably been a fair result but I think we've won a couple where we were fortunate to win so, swings and roundabouts. It would've been nice to go into the break unbeaten but, hopefully, a good chance for Enzo to get in some good work with the team and integrate all the new lads.
Wishing you all the best, Barwell, and hope you go way past 70. You Barwellians are made of sterner stuff.
Got a cousin still living there - my late uncle owned the off-licence on Station Rd in Earl Shilton for 30 odd years ... small world...
Anyone else enjoying the egg chasers, chasing? Cracking opening game last night ... All Premiership players should be made to watch as education... I.e. what really consututes getting injured in a challenge etc
Well that was an entertaining watch. Interesting team selection. Shows Meresca or his team do their homework as I thought JJ was excellent against their biggest threats coming down their left. Thank goodness Mavididi scored that fourth and put it to bed as he had made some poor decisions prior to that. I dont think I have yet got over the feeling of an inevitable goal for the opposition whenever they race into our box or even get a corner but some of the tackles and blocks tonight were impressive. KDH was impressive and we did look threatening going foward. All in all a great start to the weekend.
