We didn't get beat much but we were like watching paint dry. I left at half time against Huddersfield and that 1st half is still a scar on my soul.

I watch a lot of football. I'm at Man City and Utd a lot with the kids and regularly watch midweek games in London in League 1 and 2. I would have to say City matches were the worst of the lot for entertainment value the back end of last season.

As I said there was clearly a manager trying to play his style but with players that can't really do it. Personally I thought he might have waited until the summer to get people in and then implement it but he pushed on despite the crowds unrest. I found it dire, some might have quite enjoyed it.

I obviously didn't find it as boring as some evidently did, but ultimately there were 14 teams more 'dire' than us since he got the job.

Results wise, possibly. But I bet they were more fun to watch.

For the neutral possibly, but I doubt their fans don't really care about results.

Played a fair few games against Everthorpe in the 90's it was a privilege for the inmates and if they got a yellow card they would miss a weekend on release. Could be quite intimidating with all the inmates around the touchline.

We were 10th on form in the time Liam was in charge. And 4th best defensively in that period too.

Forgive me if I feel its a bit harsh to judge Liam on results from before he arrived, when we really were dire.

The whole picture as far as the table is concerned is points accumulated, but it was obviously a area we needed to improve, and the signs look better so far this season in that respect.

Not amazing, no, but not 'dire' either, and having no strikers for nearly a 3rd of those games hardly did him any favours in a goalscoring sense.

Bit over 1 per game from memory. Which was more than we conceded.

Somebody mentioned 16th. But again, that's not the whole picture.

People keep dragging out that statistic... when you correct them and say we were 14th based on the last 10 games, you get the "oh yeah but we didn't have any strikers"

Thing is I'd argue him pushing on with it has benefitted us in the long run. Players like Jones, Greaves, Coyle and Ingram look far more comfortable (bar a few weird moments yesterday)
