There was a moment in an earlier game this season. A cross to Ayling who headed it on to Gnonto, who met it first time and just missed the top corner. Almost a great shot but what I noticed most - he did not acknowledge Ayling setting him up in any way. That told me - either he’s a **** or there’s bad blood around. Or both.
Deffo something not right with him and in my view we should sell. He was great when we rescued him from the Swiss pub team league. He was a breath of fresh air, but he was hardly used by our last 3 coaches. He is a nasty little fk when things don’t go his way, and he likes to leave a boot in and cause arguments and moan at refs. He has an attitude problem and obviously now thinks he’s too good for this league
But he is only 19 and this is where good coaches step in. He is probably still smarting from a failed move, he has time with the International break to get it out of his system, let's see if Farke can turn him around and if he can he is going to be very valuable to us even if it is until January. I personally feel we have a better player in Anthony so let's get the most out of him for a few weeks and allow Farke to review in the new year
The only problem with the international break is that he mixes with his countrymen who are star players on stars wages…… easy getting his head turned and maybe his form died after the last break?
I don’t like his attitude, don’t like that he wanted to jump ship and then downed tools when he couldn’t. I can cut him a tiny bit of slack due to his age, and likely influence of his agent. But a couple of positives for me, which I don’t think any of our other forwards possess is the ability to kill the long ball-in his stride, however it’s played to him. The other is he hits the byline time and again, something none of our other wingers do. If used correctly, provided he applies himself he’s still an asset.
