VAR didn't overturn it but advised the ref to take a look at it. Very lucky call for us but probably right if you are honest.
It was minimal contact and wouldn't have put Havertz down like that. One of those where you would be furious it it were given against you and thankful if given for.
Thought was clear pen but after seeing the replay he doesn’t connect with the initial outstretched leg and havertz ends up clipping his foot against AWB thigh so got the right decision in the end.
what was lucky was that is the first ref decision u can remember this season where it is "overturned" ps my memory is **** !
Arsenal win 3-1 and it’s the right result but if Arsenal had played at a higher tempo throughout the match then 2 injury time goals and a very close offside call wouldn’t have been needed.
the same ref was on week 1 in a "top 6" game and the only booking he gave were for kicking the ball away and time wasting turns up to this "top 6" game and does the exact opposite. Taylor reffed our game v Chelsea and now this one and is wildly inconsistent. cannot blame different refs there.
it's game week 4. it's the same ref. it's the same high profile game. entirely diametrically opposite approach. stop messing with the game rules and focus on you ****ing jobs. I'm all for every Sunday league ref in the country getting tarred and feathered next week to send these clowns a message. respect is given up to the point you lose it. they have lost all respect with these petty antics
ETH thinks the offside wasn’t offside as the wrong angle was used - not sure how he knows what was going on back at the hub. It was old school level but once they draw the lines have to just accept that they’ve used the right procedure. Think he’s the only person that then thought was a pen on the danish Haaland for an absolute nothing tackle and a foul on evans for the winner No one was brave enough to call him out on his bollocks though. Why ask the managers these questions (and that’s all managers) if not gonna call them out on their stupid answers?
