Villa have sold a player for £100m 2 years ago which has enabled them to spend during the current ffp regs. They have a **** Castore contract similar to ours, a smaller ground and a far worse front of shirt deal. However this will be made up due to the fact they don't have a **** contract with Sodexo meaning they probably earn between £10-£15m a year on matchdays. We earn £2m a season due to Sodexo contract (Cheers Mike). Villa in the coming seasons will be stuck with what they have unless they manage to hit CL this year. We however, will be fine to spend around the £150m - £200m mark per season for the next God knows how long. As for Villa signed better players? Who? Diaby? I'd have liked him and he's looked good. Other than him, nah.
This season Newcastle will be an also ran but hopefully they'll be able to add the quality the side lacks in all areas of over the next few years. Seriously Newcastle have very little quality it's just a very basic squad with a sprinkle of non Stoke City here and there.

I think it's more like he's been worked out - teams press him with ease and he ****s up - and doesn't feel he's getting enough protection from his team-mates (probably mainly blaming Tonali) or his manager.
