Yeah It’s closed for normal times sadly Only open for specific events I’d been in a week or so before it closed, but didn’t know it was going to. Pity
Ye my daughter wanted to try it Heard a lot of good things about it Any other vegan or veggie cafes in hull?
Yeah there are a few less fully vegan or vegetarian than a couple of years ago, which I assume is because most places now do decent options so people aren't tied to vegan only places. Fully Vegan Barleys on Newland Ave - Small place - Coffee, cakes, hot and cold sarnies, breakfast burritos etc and they do evening special nights occasionally where you can take your own drink. Pricey but nice. Blondes in Cott - Small but great breakfasts, hot meals, cake etc The old classic Hitchcocks in Old Town - Only can be arsed to open evenings when they have enough punters, but if you book first you can choose the nationality of the food. All you can eat vegetarian buffet but lots vegan too. £25 a head bar or bring your own. http://www.hitchcocksrestaurant.co.uk/ Take out in Trinity - Cinnamon Bakery. Do cakes and also burgers, focaccia etc Vegan options I really like Marlas for vegan sarnies, sausage rolls (and beer) Handheld at Home Bev Rd for vegan Sunday roasts (but need to book) Stretch in Paragon Arcade for vegan pizza Viet Memories have several vegan bits Few in Trinity - Falafel, Indian place, Burrito place etc Sweet Little Things on Newland does vegan afternoon tea if you preorder. That should keep you going for now.
I went to Stretch Pizza in Paragon Arcade for lunch on Saturday, it was a decent pizza, but they need better knives (or need to cut the pizzas).
That’s food all prepped. Gone a little French today…. Beef & pork combo with potato’s in a creamy mushroom sauce. Into the Aga to slow cook for 8 hours
You have an aga on your boat? Careful it doesn't get too hot and melt through the bottom of the hull.
Thai chicken phanaeng curry, featuring sweet potato, red pepper, chopped fresh garlic, homegrown cherry tomatoes, 6 Birds Eye chillis (3 red, 3 green) and….. Bacon. Yes, bacon. Excellent addition.
Yeah, had thought it would make a similar heat output to sticking a big scotch bonnet in, but it’s a fair bit milder. Not too bad at all.
