We seem to keep missing easy chances. Miggy did it last week. At the top end of the table players don’t miss these chances. If we want to be a top club. We can’t afford this.
no but it seems like a rehearsal for Zorba the Greek 2 on here today with all the knee jerking. it’s 2nd September ffs.
"but the wave of confidence Newcastle were riding has completely evaporated both on the pitch and in the fanbase." WHAT UTTER BOLLOX
We can be critical aswell as positive. That’s a two way street. Deluded blind faith is where I worry about people. If you keep hitting your thumb when hammering eventually you will get a very sore thumb.
EH: “We’ve lost three in a row and we have to take responsibility for that. It’s important that I don’t over-react.” Translation: “I’ll keep playing the exact same way if it kills me, cos I’m convinced it’ll work again”. Next match - Isak out for Wilson. Botman in for Targett. No other changes.
If the new signings don't start I'll consider Newcastle a potential money laundering operation and send a letter to Scotland Yard to begin investigation. Howes reluctance to play new players has been an issue since day ****ing one. Now its becoming a concern, he's stubborn as ****.
They signed a ton of players that didn't fit the system, cracks started to show, they began conceding 4 goals against **** teams like Newcastle and eventually got relegated on a whimper. But no they never changed
The turning point was when he made them changes against Liverpool. That said to me that he wasn’t ready to be an elite manager. The changes he made yesterday at 58 minutes (x3) where equally as weird.
We didn’t give Bruno minutes when he came. We didn’t give Botman minutes when he first came here. I’m guessing Howe doesn’t think they are fit enough yet to play the system. When they are he will give them minutes. Same applied to Gordon who I think later on came out and said he needed to get a lot fitter to be able to play our system well.
Yep, trotted out lines like “stick to my principles”, ultimately went down. Recruitment when he got a bit of money was poor. I just think he got Pardew level luck, when Pardew finished 5th with a few shrewd buys from Carr playing really well and a shocking season from a couple of bigger clubs letting us sneak into 5th. Very similar here. Stellar seasons from Bruno, Pope and Isak, with uncharacteristic efforts from average players like Longstaff, Almiron, Burn and Schar, coupled with Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea all being crap allowed us to sneak 4th. Poor recruitment, obstinance from Howe and some woeful in game management have made us look dreadful. I thought this might happen, will be interesting to see what happens if - as I expect - it keeps getting worse. I think Brentford will get at least a draw. We just look slow, clueless and limited.
You do know that chaos is on the wum today don’t you? He will be busy screen shotting those who are intimating Howe isn’t good enough… It’s depressing as **** with so many Roly mimics on here today
The truth hurts sometimes. Howe has had his positive moments. Maybe he just needs to learn from the mistakes. Tgat is all.
I'm neither bothered nor expecting the signings to start. Hall's 18 and has 12 PL apps in total, plus Howe said he wasn't anywhere near fit enough. Livramento is an understudy for Trippier. Barnes is a sub. Howe is starting Tonali, so busts the myth - except he keeps taking him off earlier and earlier which is frankly bizarre. The issue remains, FFP or not, why the **** were sub full backs and a sub winger the priority?
