Honestly mate, I’ve had enough of Pope. His kicking for a professional goalkeeper is beyond dreadful. I think there’s to many comfortable players who feel irreplaceable. They’re living off last year.
Another reason the transfer policy was so ****ing dreadful. Literally telling players their place is safe because we’re buying kids. **** management from Staveley down.
But that’s down to EH. The ****ty play out from the back ****s us over. In any case I think Karius is better than Dubz! I’ve found it odd that Isak isn’t moving to the wings like he used to. Since then he’s been ineffective up top. Bruno has been garbage for months but he’s the golden child. I’m going to give Joelinton the benefit of the doubt as he’s clearly injured and isn’t as mobile. Which makes me more annoyed with EH. Almiron has been off for a while as well and Trippier’s set pieces have been woeful for months as well. Schar is useless.
****ing whinging Fanny’s AGAIN. We’ve been beaten by three of the top five last season. Judge us after ten games, then you can moan, ffs.
We’re supposed to be one of the top 5 and we’re losing to all rivals. I don’t understand how people think this is ok. Would Arsenal, City, Man U, etc, think this is all ok because they’re good clubs? This is just defeatist and will keep us suppressed. Besides which the frustration is that we spent £110n on ****ing substitutes, two of whom don’t get on the pitch. Meanwhile we have the likes of Burn bumbling around. It’s just all a bit **** and was avoidable.
I think Roland has been right the entire summer window and right now people don't fancy admitting it even might be the case You'll have to wait another few games Roly then if they get injures they'll fall back on that. I mean they might be right newcastle might win a few of the next 8 , but they haven't done that yet have they.
When we signed Tonali i was looking forward to him playing in the CDM role, as he did for Milan, it is his position afterall, and we all thought that would release Bruno to play a bit further up, but Howe seems to want them to keep rotating positions during the game, to do a bit of both, and it isn't working.
Is this the same Burn who was an integral part of the best defence in the premier league last season? Livramento will learn off Trippier, Hall is one for the near future, although I would have been tempted to start him today. It’s not “ok” that we’ve been beaten by three very good sides, although it is understandable. Not to some of our fan base, unfortunately.
As I’ve said repeatedly, what’s the ****ing point in aiming to be potentially good in 3 years time with these kids, when the current XI isn’t good enough? And it’s not being beaten off three good sides. We had one shot vs City, bottled it against 10 men with Liverpool and got completely outplayed by Brighton. This is all what i expect - and actually watched - from the Ashley/Bruce era. It’s not ****ing good enough by a LONG way. The recruitment was abysmal. The owners and Ashworth have a lot to explain, because FFP should have allowed around £200m spent and we spent half of that on ****ing kids who aren’t good enough to get on the pitch. Then you’ve got Howe, who appears to have ONE plan - 433, 1-2’a with Miggy and **** all else and his subs are just putting worse players on the pitch. There’s no cohesion, no identity, no changes, no reading the game. It’s pathetic and I won’t be the only one thinking this tonight.
The good old days are coming back... plenty of disagreements , mental gymnastics and delusional faith based arguments to embrace over the coming season. I'd just like to say I'm hoping for top 8 and have expected that Newcastle will fall back this season and maybe next. I do wonder if it's even possible to defeat FFP and catch the big clubs? Might we just be the next Everton.
Every team around us is constantly evolving. Pep wins the ****ing treble, yet still evolved his team, his thinking, his tactics as he went into this season. De Zerbi is constantly thinking, changing. Even ****ing Moyes is adapting and he's a dinosaur. Howe? Nope. 4-3-3. If it's not working, let's bring on worse players in the exact same formation. I mean, we even swapped ****ing Burn for Lascelles when 3-0 down. Why not change it, why not try and grab a goal or two? It's desperately poor. City was a warning, Liverpool was a disaster and we're simply building on that with insipid **** week on week. We qualified for the CL. NOW was the time to get Miggy out and bring in a reliable RW like Diaby. NOW was the time to upgrade Schar. NOW was the time to bring in a quality left back. NOW was the time to tweak and evolve, maybe bring in a DM or go with two pivots to be dynamic in a 4-2-3-1. But, no, we bought sub full backs and swapped ASM for the thus-far abysmal Harvey Barnes. Meanwhile, when we were all optimistic Maddison and DIaby would turn up, Howe/Ashworth didn't and we're still stuck with mid-table (at best) crap, a thin squad and zero identity. Ah, well. I'm really ****ing irate right now. I hadn't gotten over the Liverpool debacle before tonights predicatble clusterfuck. There's going to be changes. I wouldn't want to piss off Al-Rumayyan and there's going to be some really searching questions for Howe, Ashworth and Staveley in the next two weeks. Personally, I don't think any of them will still be here in June.
Another week of bed wetting as “the loyalist supporters the world has ever had” prove as usual to be anything but.
Here we go with the "I can't prove anyone wrong about tonight, so I'll say you're a **** fan" crap. Scariest thing for me was Howe after the game, he told Sky the scoreline didn't reflect the performance. I suppose he is right, as 3-1 was flattering. However, he means we deserved a point! He's soft as ****.
